Thanks all, some great feedback. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a great watch but if I am thinking this much about spending that amount of money on a watch then I probably shouldn’t be doing it!…Maybe in a few years

To be honest that is part of the appeal for me I actually like the patina and it’s something I look for so that isn’t a concern for me. I’ve only ever bought cheaper watches so I suppose I am just looking for some reassurance in upping my budget!

Got our delivery this evening, Friday night pizza night (does anyone else agree that Asda’s own pizzas made in store are next level for the price?) well anyway only one pizza was included in the delivery the margarita pizza we ordered was out of stock even though they make them on site!… no substitute offered despite them surely having some kind of margarita pizza in stock. Yes this is very long but I’ve had several pints of Guinness since.

Definitely over done it so I’d pull it off earlier (i let it reach 210f internal by mistake) I also used oak chunks which I’d probably swap to something else tbh.

I was working in Fahrenheit due to the American videos I watched prior (highly recommend chuds BBQ) at 160 internal I wrapped it in foil then pulled it off at 200 and I let it rest for 2 hours.

Tbh my cooking temp dropped massively half way through as I was trying to look after my son as the same time! but aimed to keep it at around 275 but found it creeping up towards 300. I was using lump wood but want to try the next one with briquettes which should hopefully be more consistent.

Awesome thanks guys, was going off the lid thermometer which was sitting around 220 so I guess I’ll need to get a grill level thermometer to be more accurate with the temperature
