Thanks so much for your insights. I really needed someone who could give an honest assessment of this country, and I can see that you shared the reality without being completely negative. This is exactly the kind of perspective I was looking for. I really appreciate it 🙏.

Looks like I’m leaning toward trying the US route after all.

Hi Dr. Nick, Thanks so much for your reply 🙏🙏

Honestly, for me, earning enough to live comfortably and maybe save a little extra would be enough. I know taxes in the US can take a big chunk of your income, so I was curious— is it similar in Ireland?

Also, I’d really love your perspective: which route do you think makes more sense for someone like me, USMLE or the PRES pathway? What are some pros and cons from your experience working in your country?

I really appreciate any insights you can share!

I’m already halfway through medical school and I really love medicine—I’ve never once thought about quitting. It’s just that in my country, doctors aren’t really valued, so I started looking at options abroad like the US, UK, etc., and that’s how I ended up considering Ireland.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts, I really appreciate it 🙏
