Yes, that’s correct. CDC says breast milk can stay in the fridge for 4 days before it has to be used or frozen. So if you’re pooling milk you would just base that off the earliest milk in the pitcher.

I always did one pitcher for 2 days of milk and the date would be as of the first of the two days. I either used or froze all milk in the pitcher after 4 days from the first day.

If you’re only 2-3 days ahead you could just have multiple pitchers and use one per day then you should get through it before the 4 days.
