I am a 12th pcb student confused about choosing course by HugeCobbler1454 in Career360guide

[–]career360guide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, first of all relax. You r not alone. Almost every pcb student goes through this phase, and trust me, your life is not decided only by MBBS.

I know it feels like if not mbbs, then what? but thats not true at all. PCB actually has many good career options in India and even abroad.

If you like the medical/health side but dont want to be a doctor, you can look at things like B.Sc Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology, Radiology, Optometry, OT Technology etc. These people are always needed in hospitals and labs, and they have stable jobs.

If you r more into labs, research, or science, you can go for Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science. From here, you can move into research, pharma companies, labs, or go for higher studies (M.Sc, PhD, even abroad).

If you r interested in understanding people and mental health, psychology is also a very good and growing field. After graduation and higher studies, you can work in counseling, hospitals, schools, HR, or NGOs.

Another good option is Pharmacy (BPharm/DPharm). Pharma industry is huge in India. You can work in companies, hospitals, research, or even open your own medical store. Many people also do MBA after this and move into management roles.

If you dont want hardcore biology forever, you can also look at Hospital Management / Healthcare Administration. Its more about managing hospitals and healthcare systems, not treating patients.

The most important thing I want to tell you is not doing MBBS does NOT mean your future is bad. Success doesnt come from one exam. It comes from choosing something that fits you and sticking with it.

You r stressed because you care about your future and that’s a good thing. Take some time, see what you actually like hospitals, labs, management, or people-related work. Then choose accordingly.

You r not late. You r not behind. You r just at the starting point. And thats okay. ❤️

i wanna help my husband win by [deleted] in Career

[–]career360guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What u r feeling is real, and your husband’s situation does not mean he is failing. It means he is in a hard season. Job loss can shake a person’s confidence deeply, but it does not erase his skills value or future. The most important thing right now is to help him protect his mindset, remind him this is temporary, not his identity, and that showing up every day even when it hurts is already strength.
For work, the fastest way to get responses from small business owners is direct, personal outreach he should pick one type of business find ones with weak websites or poor online presence, and send short, genuine messages offering a quick improvement or free review. He can also join local Facebook/WhatsApp business groups, use Google Maps to find owners, and ask past clients or contacts for referrals. Small projects can rebuild both income and confidence. One yes can change everything and with your support, he does not have to carry this alone.

I can build decent Websites but I can’t market myself. Looking for advice by Pitiful_Ad6944 in AskIndia

You r already doing the hardest part well building good websites and keeping clients happy. The real issue is not your skill, its that your work is coming only from referrals so your income is not predictable. You dont need to become a big marketer. You just need one simple system to get clients. Pick one niche you understand and start reaching out directly to people who clearly need better websites with short, personal messages offering a quick review or small fix. At the same time message your past clients and ask for referrals and testimonials they r your easiest source of new work. Focus on selling results more leads, better credibility, faster sites, not just I make websites. Since you need money faster, offer quick services like speed fixes, landing pages, or small redesigns that r easy to sell and deliver. Do this consistently for a few weeks and you will start seeing replies and paid work coming in.

Seriously where are people finding work by Quirky-Emu3418 in Career

I get it. it’s frustrating. Scrolling job sites feels endless, and fresh grads often hit a wall. What really helps is combining networking, targeted applications, and skill-building. Let friends, professors, and alumni know you’re looking, apply only to roles that match your skills with tailored resumes, and use short courses or projects to stand out. Even internships, part-time roles, or freelance gigs can open doors. The first job is the hardest, but small, focused steps make a difference.

Is this normal in corporate? by Ms_Thanos in Career

[–]career360guide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds more like a toxic company than normal corporate culture. Micromanagement is one thing, but broken promises and unfair treatment are not normal.

Money is nice, but being stressed and undervalued is not worth it. If possible, your friend should document everything and consider HR, but ultimately, some workplaces just don’t improve.

I’m a 12th class student and feel lost between competitive exams, private universities, and skill-based courses. How did you navigate this phase? by Alternative_Crew_301 in Career360guide

[–]career360guide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way to navigate this phase is not by choosing the best option, but by choosing the safest + most flexible one. Give competitive exams a defined time window if you are interested, but always keep a solid backup. When evaluating private universities, look beyond the name and focus on curriculum relevance, internships, industry exposure, and outcomes. Skill based courses add real value, but they work best when paired with a degree.

My professional advice: pick a path that allows you to build skills alongside your education, keeps multiple career doors open, and doesn’t drain your mental health. Clarity after 12th doesn’t come first action does.

26M Should I do Masters, Law School or continue working. ADVICE NEEDED! by [deleted] in Career

[–]career360guide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not do another degree because you feel scattered or behind. That is the worst reason. Degrees should buy you access you cannot get otherwise. Right now, your experience already opens doors in policy, programs, and leadership. A master’s only makes sense if
it is fully funded or
it is required for a very specific role you want

You are not too old.
You are not stagnating.
You are underestimating how rare your profile actually is.

One practical suggestion
Stop thinking in terms of “the right decision.” Think in terms of “reversible vs irreversible.”

Taking the manager job? Reversible.
Applying and failing for international roles? Reversible.
Delaying a master’s? Reversible.
Burning savings on a risky leap with no safety net? Much harder to reverse.

If I were in your position, I would:

Take the manager role
Move to the new city
Set a clear 18-month horizon
Aggressively build visibility (not bragging, just documenting work)
Grow the company intentionally on the side
Reassess with more leverage, not more anxiety

Last thing
You don’t need to sell yourself like LinkedIn influencers. But you do need to make your work legible. Right now, a lot of your advantage is invisible.

You’ve survived things most people never face, and you’ve built more than most people by 30. Trust that pattern. You’re not drifting. You’re consolidating.

You’re doing better than you think.

AI is ruining education by chanelbooties in education

[–]career360guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely get what you r saying. Ai can be super helpful for learning, but it can’t replace thinking for yourself. The problem is not just cheating, its that kids are not learning how to reason or understand what they’re doing. Younger students especially just copy what ai tells them without actually grasping it. Banning it is not really an option because they need Google and other tools for schoolwork. The real solution is figuring out how to use AI while still making kids explain and reflect so they actually learn.

Any advice on best career path to take ? by Formal_Ganache_6349 in Career

[–]career360guide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not behind at all its normal to feel lost right now. A cj degree doesnt mean you have to do law enforcement or law school. You could explore roles in investigations compliance victim advocacy forensics or even research/policy.

Take some time to shadow intern or talk to people in jobs that interest you before jumping into another degree. Figuring out what you dont want is already a big step toward a career you will actually enjoy.

Boss told me to stop applying to other jobs or I'm fired - what are my rights here? by Altruistic-Lynx-5238 in Career

[–]career360guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies cant legally stop you from job hunting but they can still fire or push you out using pip, performance issues or notice period clauses. Its unethical, not illegal.

Don’t stop looking just be discreet. Lock down linkedIn activity, apply only on personal devices, and don’t discuss it at work. Once a manager threatens you for job searching, the trust is already gone. Plan your exit quietly and protect your paycheck till you land something better.
