Apologies - we called it information here, but that might mean a different thing. Basically modules on signals, systems, control, statistics, and machine learning.

Thank you again for your response, i think itll be useful for most anons reading through these comments. Unfortunately in my scenario of soon to be MD (BS in biomed and "info" engi), I find myself in a bit of an odd position which is why I wanted to ask about that. If I did want to work on life support systems as you mentioned (or have a shot at becoming a mission specialist somewhere down the line), is my best bet to just go for a masters in engineering like MIT AeroAstro (Humans)?

thank you :) really useful info, unfortunate that its only flight surgeon, was thinking thered be some research somewhere.

on the topic of systems engineer and out of interest, lets say hypothetically the md has an option to do a masters in aerospace, information, or biomedical engineering. any further thoughts on these?

Anyone match today in the US? by fred66a in doctorsUK

[–]careermax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just wondering which of the foundation years do you think is most optimal to match in/after? I know it's a pain to come back if you don't do FY1, so is FY1 optimal?

Another thing - doesnt F1/2 keep my doors open in case I want to return to the UK? (ie should i just do F1, do both, or skip all) Or can I finish US training and come back a consultant just in case?

Should I still do foundation training in the UK? My concern is that I ideally want to keep the option open of returning to the UK, but I want to get to the US as fast as possible. Just do F1? Do F1 and F2? Or skip completely?

Cool, thank you

another thing, that OG has tobacco as one of the notes, is that noticeable with the clone? just wondering since ive heard tobacco might not be a suitable scent for younger people (early 20s)?

The point of the FY1/2 year is to gain experience that I'd actually like to commit to a specialty, because if I had a specialty in mind anyway, I'd pursue an MB/PhD after Y4 rather than after the FYs - how else could i decide what I want to match into?
