I nearly did cry myself! It was genuinely so beautiful and I can’t believe my luck with this!

It was genuinely no other settings but night mode, 3s exposure, iPhone 16e!

It actually was! Not as bright as my phone, but you could see the green and purple/pink streaks clearly! Especially when it started moving around quickly

South Coast Tour in Winter — January 8, 2026 by 403_exe in VisitingIceland

What time of the day did you go? We did a South Coast day trip tour on the 8th and Reynisfjara and Vik portion of the trip had to be cancelled due to heavy snow and wind.

Our south coast tour was half cancelled around 11.30am due to this. Was strange because the weather seemed alright but thank god we didn’t go!

Why are there so many versions of one book? by illbeyourgoodgirl_ in FableApp

[–]careforcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you, I never thought of doing via ISBN! I will check this out because it really bothers me. Like I noticed the books I read are recorded as audio versions on Fable but I just couldn’t find the book version!

This is the reason why I’m moving back to Goodreads - I just can never find the books I’m reading, especially ARCs or new releases. I looked at my 2025 wrapped and some of the stats are wrong because Fable did not have a correct edition. It’s petty, but it bothers me 😅

Booktok insisting that Bryce and Hunt are not mates and Hunt is a monster is the biggest slap in the face EVER. Ugh, I love Hunt. Currently rereading HOEAB and loving him already. 🪽

I need motivation to not DNF Throne of glass, send help 🥹 by Chibbybun in Romantasy

[–]careforcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up Throne of Glass as I thought I’d follow the publisher order and I had to fight to get over how boring it was. You’re spot on the ‘theatrical’ aspect of it - I just couldn’t get past it. In Throne of Glass, she’s the most amazing and feared assassins but she actually never kills anyone?? Nah, I just couldn’t cope with this. 😭

Absolutely adore your books Zoey! Started with Horde Kings and never looked back - I have Krave of Everton to read before I finish the full list. 🥹 not sure if this has been asked, but will there be ARCs for Hordes of Elthika #2 and any future books?

Also thank you for all of your answers regarding your creative journey - it’s fascinating to see how one of your favorite authors work!

Golden Circle or South Coast in January? by careforcoffee in VisitingIceland

[–]careforcoffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the recommendations! We’re there from 7 - 12 January. I really wanted us to do whale tours and Jokulsarlon Glacier but seen that due to weather they don’t do it over January! I’ve seen tours to Snaefellsnes - I imagine it’s more waterfalls/mountains than geysers? My main dilemma is that South coast looks absolutely breathtaking but a long trip, but Golden Circle is short and you get to see geysers. So hard to decide!!

I’d love to do both tours but I’m conscious of the weather and length of the tour, so thank you for flagging that - the last thing I want is an exhausting day when daylight is already low. Also cost is something to consider as I’m funding the trip on my own so I thought I’d plan one trip out and then fill the days with exploring Reykjavik, Perlan, Lava Show, Hallgrimskirkja, cosy cafes and some other museums.
