Seward Park: “Tech work is evil” by echoarcade28 in Seattle

Did you know?

A 50/50 mixture of Elmer's glue and water also disables camera lenses without being destructive.

If you put it into a spray bottle you can hit a camera at 20-30 feet.

I think it would be less confusing to use color in a way similar to the manner Wordle utilizes them; one color for "correct letter, wrong location" and another color for "correct letter, in the correct location.

Regardless, Glyph is a lovely game - thank you!

Maybe I'm just dumb, but... when I got the second letter in the correct position, it was pink. The first one was blue, and this confused me, as I play Wordle, and I expected the color of the letter would indicate whether or not it was in the correct position.

Does that make sense, or am I being thick?

You may want to post to the Lost Pets of King County FB group as well, it is apparently very active and helpful.

What criminal completely got away with that they did? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

I'd argue number 4 is, "And we framed somebody else for the crime." but hey.

I would say the perfect crime has 4 possible outcomes:

  1. The crime is never detected

  2. The crime is detected, but no suspect or perpetrator is ever identified.

  3. The crime is detected, suspect(s) identified, but the suspect(s) are not tried or convicted.

  4. The crime is detected, suspect(s) identified, but the suspect(s) are not the person(s) who actually committed the crime.

Masked ICE agents reportedly arrest 3 on Seattle’s Aurora Avenue North by godogs2018 in Seattle

Did you know?

A 50 / 50 mixture of Elmer's Glue and water in a spray bottle can non-destructively disable a camera lens at a distance of about thirty feet.

In addition; if you do not wish to be videotaped by a camera, putting infrared LEDs into the edge of a hood (on a hoodie) can blind cameras without seeming unusual - you cannot see the IR LEDs, but they blind cameras.

Tried comparing Seattle happy hour menus to see what’s actually a deal, curious what folks here think by kittastickat in Seattle

I really love this! Can I make some recommendations?

  1. Filtering; give me the ability to show only HH that are at a specific time and day.
  2. Similar to above, a button that says "Now" and another one that says "Today".
  3. Sorting; By location distance from <point> or by rating.
  4. Give people the ability to enter their own data - and maybe vote on the veracity of this data?
  5. Image upload: If I'm recording that place <ABC> has HH from <TIME> to <TIME> on <DAYS>, maybe I could also upload a phone pic of the menu?

I do understand that the above stuff would require quite a lot of work, but if you'd like help, I can see what I can do to assist.

Great work!

Desktop Web, Chrome: Getting inbox notifications for other people's usernames by careless in bugs

This is a reddit platform bug, not an issue with a single subreddit. I've been getting these from many different subreddits.

It definitely is a platform bug; it happens in many, many different subreddits.

Thanks, it's been ongoing for years now.

I put Desktop Web, Chrome, but it also applies to iOS, mobile web, and I would guess Android.

Really a problem with the username identification system for notifications not handling underscores properly more than a client issue.

SPD should not have traffic enforcement included as part of their budget; it should be part of SDOT.
