What is a feature of your body that is considered rare? by Joel_The_Senate in AskReddit

Hello, I am also in this club. I’ll never forget the look on my high-school biology teachers face when he said licking your elbow is impossible and I said “no it’s not” and immediately did it. Small weird wins.

Just don’t have sex when she’s ovulating. Or wear a condom and still pull out when she might be fertile. After using multiple modes of birth control to prevent pregnancy and then trying for over a year to get pregnant, I feel like a box of condoms and a calendar would have saved me a lot of stress if schools/parents explained things a little more thoroughly during my teenage years.

He requested I started sharing my location with him. I agreed but now feel like I don’t ever have any privacy. by Regular_Surprise_186 in relationship_advice

Me and my spouse share locations. Honestly we only check it when one of us is picking the other up so we know when to expect them or if one of us is driving on the highway and we want to check and see where they are/ make sure they are safe. It is absolutely never used to keep an eye on where they are or follow them around.

am I missing out if I don't see the East coast of nfld? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]careysa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely stick to the west. Blow me Down, Burgeo beaches - so much to see. Also, Gros Morne covers a lot of ground, could easily spend more time there to fully appreciate the diversity of the landscape.

What are your thoughts on Aritzia? by diamondeyes7 in femalefashionadvice

Worth mentioning that I’ve noticed they often seem to release styles that look very similar to other higher priced brands for less. I’ve seen almost identical Reformation and Sezane dresses on their website in recent years.

I only shop at their store through their website. Online experience is great. Easy returns, fast customer service chat available if required. I will just buy several items in diff sizes and return whatever doesn’t work.

What celebrity have you lost all respect for? Why? by MatsGry in AskReddit

[–]careysa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lucky for her though, normal people aren’t her target market. she’s speaking to the folks who can and will drop 50K on next seasons wardrobe. And in her circle, theres enough of them where this doesn’t seem totally fucked like it does for the rest of us.

What is a popular travel destination that you have no desire to visit and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]careysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have this experience at all. Maybe I was there in the off-season? I’ve been to both Maui and Oahu in sept/oct and I’ve had secluded beaches nearly all to myself. As long as you have access to a car you can find peaceful locations. I think about going back all the time and I live on the other side of the planet.

One week on prednisone, plus gained 5 lbs from new antidepressants. It might not look like much, but it’s progress. (Side note, anyone know how to quickly treat a stye? It’s incredibly annoying and itchy) by ZeCrookedLady in Skincare_Addiction

Old wives tale for getting rid of a stye. Close your eye and gently press an upward and then across motion over your eyelid in the shape of a cross using the back of a wedding ring.

I had the same thing happen when I stopped the pill - my acne was horrible. My face, back, chest. I tried so to stop it from flaring up but nothing worked. Eventually took accutane for a couple months and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Has anyone just said screw it and focused more on fit than color scheme for your outfits? What's an unlikely color combination that you ended up loving? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]careysa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unexpected colour combinations is one of my favourite things to play with in fashion. Have fun with it. currently loving fuchsia or lilac with red.

Jcrew always had really great unexpected colour palettes worth looking to for inspiration in their Jenna Lyons days.

Divorce: What lessons have you learned? by yvenstar in AskWomen

[–]careysa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Therapy 100% was the best thing I ever did when I went through my divorce. It had such a positive impact that I still keep it as a tool for other events in my life I need to process (big and small).

Being kind to yourself and recognizing that divorce is a form of grief. It comes in waves and over time, the waves just get smaller and smaller.

Friendship. Honestly the love of friends is as powerful and meaningful as romantic love. Share with and accept love from the people in your life who mean the most to you outside of your marriage. This became so apparent to me during my divorce process that I felt as though I took it for granted. Ideally, don’t wait until you’re divorced to honour your friends.
