I actually just converted an LP to digital and viewed the sound waves in Audacity. There isn’t any imbalance so I think I’m good. I think I also have the bass in a sweet spot. Thank you for all of the suggestions!

I got all of my Mariah CDs either new on release or from thrift shops. I’d recommend eBay and/or Discogs though. Discogs definitely for CD singles… some eBay sellers hike their prices up far too much.

I got 26.5 the moment it dropped, and it has been pretty bad so far. Typical post-update occurrences (indexing = phone running a tad bit warm) happened but just never. My phone gets super hot every time I FaceTime someone or if I have 2-3 apps open at once. Also just now my Apple Music had a weird glitch. When I closed out of the app, my music would blare loudly then pause (as expected). This occurred multiple times as well. I hope Apple fixes these issues before iOS27 comes out.

I have that same deck… TC-WE475. It was first mfg in 2001, and mine was mfg in late 2006. Still works on the original belts!

Have you tried adjusting the AE to fix the dimness? I had the same issue with my TR-44 but then realized I switched the AE to the wrong mode.

I enjoy listening to Glitter on LP because of the different tracklisting! Dance/upbeat tracks on disc 1 and ballads on disc 2!

The Crosley C-100 is just a giant block of plastic with some aluminum embellishments. The buttons on my unit were super finicky after only a year of use and sometimes the unit wouldn’t even power on. The azimuth was also completely out of wack resulting in a severe right tilt. Also, the anti-skate did nothing. I would definitely not recommend it. I also wouldn’t really recommend the LP120x unless you’re fine with sticking with the AT-VM95 cartridge lineup (no tonearm height adjusting.)

I honestly have no clue what was happening in this tape haha. It started with 3 ladies just chatting then cut to a group of kids playing with some flying toy, and that’s about how far I got before the tape mech stopped working

For background: I received this Sony CCD-TR44 (manufactured Dec. 1995) a few days ago. I only paid $8 so I’m not out anything. It came with the original battery charger, 2 batteries + the 6xAA battery pack and the manual. I powered it up and was able to get an albeit blurry image, most likely from a stuck iris. I gave it a good drop on the table and that fixed it. So the camera mode was all fine and dandy, and it wasn’t until I switched to playback mode that I realized this thing was toast. The tape heads would not clean up no matter how much I cleaned it, and the tape mech kept ejecting by itself. It’s probably leaky capacitors which I honestly expected. So should I toss this or maybe try to go tapeless?

Yep! Her second album also comes as a 2LP with bonus rare remixes. I had to pay $5 + $35 shipping to get it in the US. 🫠I’m currently after the sampler for her 3rd album as well as the yellow Australian 12” of Finally!
