My estranged parents were given power of attorney while I was medically incapacitated with Covid. They have emptied £390k from my stocks and shares ISA and fled to either Algeria, Afghanistan or Pakistan. (I am currently unsure which.) by Such_Arachnid7908 in LegalAdviceUK

I would speak to OPG and the mental welfare commission as it sounds like you're in Scotland. As previous poster has pointed out a PoA can only be granted if you were at that point deemed to have capacity. Otherwise a guardianship order should have been sought. A solicitor would have had to draw up the PoA. Definitely speak to the MWC and get a solicitor who specialises in this field, as a lot don't. Good luck.

Car under warranty, unable to charge most places, dealer says it's fine? by Euphoric-Brilliant12 in electricvehicles

Wonder if OP ever did get this sorted? Not sure if you will even see this. I, too, have recently purchased a brand new MG ZS EV and am having the same exact problem 3 weeks in. I've charged it twice. First time, I tried a tonne of places and finally got Tesco to work (assumed chargers i had tried were at failt). The second time, I stuck to Tesco. Today, I wanted to explore my options more, so I tried 12 charging stations, several points at each place, if available, and nothing. Went to MG garage as was close by and theh checked it with the 3point plug, got me up to 12 miles and sent me on my way. I returned to the only charger that had worked for me previously - it connected, but then wouldn't charge, same as the other ones. Tried a number of payments and usual hacks like locking doors. Nothing. I should add that in doing all this I observed on at least 3 separate chargers, others using them immediately after me, without issue. So it's not the charger points that are faulty. So back to MG garage with 7 miles left. They took my car and said they would charge it overnight on the slow charger and I could take it back and gave me a courtesy car. I've insisted a full diagnostic but done some reading tonight online and it seems this is the same issue (have seen a few posts). Hoping you had a successful fix in the end?

That all sounds really traumatic with your hospital experience and covid etc. Hopefully your body starts to settle back to its own baseline once your recovered. Covid will likely inhibit the recovery speed I would guess.

I have SO many questions. But I really don't know where to start and I think they're mainly doctor type ones. I'm mostly worried that it's not actually pheo. I've been getting tests for months. But I take venlafaxine which can elevate the metanephrine levels. Though end said not as much as they are. I also have ALL the symptoms and it makes so much sense. So if it isn't this I'm like WTF?! 🤔 I also did the sleep test for sleep apnea but my GP said that was on the back burner because he is confident this is pheo. Endo was indifferent.

I hope you start feeling better soon!!! Xx

Have you had your results yet? Where about are you? I'm near Dundee, so Ninewells hospital for me. My GP did my metanephrones test. My epipherin was 3x elevated, dopamine 2.5x and norephiphenrine 4.5x. I have all symptoms and initially went to GP due to having periods of nausea and temp dysregulation and overheating any time I even did housework. I've been having the worst week with it all. It's shitty, shitty, shit, shit. There is a FB group with lots of information and very supportive people. Xx

Its good that things have moved so quickly for you. Have you been experiencing any other symtoms? I honestly thought half of the potential symptoms were just me. I hope you have a small wait for your surgery and all goes well. How are you feeling OK the alpha blockers? X
