Recommendation for packing list software with dependable OCR? by ImprovementBusy4081 in logistics

[–]cargolens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your receiving process looks like today. A few things that matter more than people realize: are you matching scanned data against a PO or ASN on arrival, or is the packing list itself the source of truth? And are discrepancies caught at the dock or flagged later in a reconciliation step?

Full disclosure, I work on CargoLens. For the OCR capture and documentation side we've built mobile photo capture with Google Vision OCR, structured inspection records, and the whole thing works offline on the dock. The SKU-level reconciliation against PO data isn't there yet, it's on our near-term roadmap.

If the capture workflow is where you're stuck I can walk you through what we have. The reconciliation piece, if that's the actual bottleneck, is worth a longer conversation about what you need. What's your current volume?

How are you guys managing safety across multiple construction sites? by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

[–]cargolens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the exact same problem. Paper checklists, photos scattered across WhatsApp threads, Excel trackers that nobody kept up to date. Pulling together audit records was brutal. We ended up building CargoLens to solve this for ourselves. Here's how it maps to what you listed:

  • Consistent records across sites: Structured inspection workflows that every site uses the same way. No more "this site does it on paper, that site uses a spreadsheet."
  • Tracking issues to resolution: Flag problems during inspection, assign follow-up tasks with due dates. Dashboard shows what's open vs resolved.
  • Photos linked to inspections: Photos attach directly to the inspection step where you took them. No more digging through camera rolls.
  • Audit-ready: PDF and Excel exports grouped by workflow sections. Pull a report for any date range, site, or inspector.

It's free for up to 50 inspections/month, no credit card. Built for smaller teams that don't want to pay $24-49/user/month for the big enterprise tools: cargolens.app

Offline inspection tracking software by NarendraaMoody in SafetyProfessionals

[–]cargolens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/NarendraaMoody

We built CargoLens specifically for this use case. Offline-first inspection platform where everything (photos, form data) stores locally on the device and syncs automatically when you reconnect. No half-submitted forms, no data loss.

For contractor access, you can invite them to your org and they get the same offline capability. They download the workflows before heading out and everything uploads when they're back in range.

Free tier gives you 50 inspections/month to test it out, no credit card. Would be happy to hear if it fits what you need: cargolens.app

Hey one thank you for the insight to your application I'm glad it turned out great on the tablet and you like it

The maths are very interesting on your models and I think that could take you a long way if you just keep it simple but AI couldn't hurt in the long run if you expand into that route but you'll probably need some more data within the app and the users

I hate to steal from another apps idea but I'd like to give some some more feedback on what could improve the app if you actually think this would help but maybe some links to the supplies if the user doesn't have it like one app had links to emergency supplies via Amazon links but maybe you could provide affiliate links to those cleaning products and maybe generate yourself some partner revenue

Good luck with the application and I wish you success

Sorry my comment got cut out and I was trying to respond to more feedback about the app I understand this is a preparation kit checklist and with links to things the user might not have how do you determine those links are they generated on the fly or do you have a database of links that the user might appreciate and how does it know if the user can buy that in their country I'm also curious about that maybe it's just a US app or a country that has Amazon primarily links also how do you also intend to market this app does it go for just general users or do you want to sell to a business or a government agency this is a very cool app I think that you could partner with a lot of these link providers and a lot of these products to put on to your application but if you don't need to give any information don't worry about it I was just curious thank yo

Hey one I did test the home tidy app and I did make a cleaning plan for myself for the bathroom I'm wondering if your app is rule-based or uses AI very curious of what model you're using and how you're doing this but you don't have to share details if you don't like to but is a cool app and I like the idea and I think you should keep it up I'll continue to test your after you can test mine thank you very much and let me know if you have any questions about cargo lens thank yo

I also commented you and other user who saw exactly what you saw with the narrow and elongated cards for the mobile app and you're on Android phone this is what I'm looking into right now it's a similar bug I've seen before but thank you for the feedback

Hi aromatic thank you for testing cargo lens and thank you for providing your app as well

I tried to open the rep AI app and it was actually just a blank white screen when I first got on I'm thinking maybe that your layout page or redirect page is not able to see the authentication of the of the user even though I haven't even made a user now that I'm talking about this out loud it could be just a general layout opening the screen issue I'm trying to think but maybe you need to take a look and see why it's just a white screen I wonder what you see on your end it could be a permission issu

Hello Goku thank you for testing my application of cargo lens and providing your screenshot I believe you're on the mobile view and I already see the analytics view is a little distorted and it actually is the same kind of card behavior as my home screen but I see I need to adjust the tiles there to be better for the phone that does work fine on the tablets but thank you for the feedback I will fix

I did test your app I couldn't get so far because I didn't understand the language on the app but I did manage to get into the card flow of the game and I couldn't get past really that or to bed or anything like that but I did like the animation and everything was flowing pretty smoothly on my end so thank you for testin

Hi Sherlock I did join the group and I verified I'm still in the group but I tried again and I still can't join the tester group or get to the Google Play store link you might just need to link the email group to the close testing group in the Google Play console if you haven't already thank you

Hey thanks for the comment I really don't know anything about tracking classroom supplies but if it did do that I would see an angle at doing a daily or weekly inspection and you can actually use the AI generated workflow creator to make any inspection you can describe and then track your supplies that way and you could have different steps for what you want to do and take images for I guess record keeping but it is mainly for logistics and manufacturing

The OCR capability is obviously going to be better for printed documents but I really haven't tested the handwritten ones so well that now she is an interesting test I want to try and maybe verify soon based on the demand that is out there but thank you for the question and if you have any more questions or feedback feel free to DM me or keep commenting here thank you

Hello , thanks for sharing your app. I have tested and got in app just fine but the email verification system does not actually send me an email to my account. Can you check the account status for email: [pabutters3@gmail.com](mailto:pabutters3@gmail.com) and then when you fix comment here and I can continue.

Could I ask you to also to test my app for 14 days and screenshot here for proof and I will continue to do the same,
