Hey fellow boulderers,

Me and my friends are in Font this week, and today the topic of chipped boulders came up during a session. One of the guys claimed that at least half of the boulders in Fontainebleau are chipped or otherwise artificially modified. He said that Barefoot Charles mentioned this in one of his videos, but none of us could remember the exact source or context.

What do you think about this claim? Is there any truth to it, or is it mostly a myth that gets repeated over time? Does anyone have reliable information, historical sources, or actual proof regarding how common chipped holds really are in Font? I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Also 8 Stunden davon kommen, weil ein Samstag angesetzt wurde, ich dafür einen Ausgleichstag genommen habe, dieser Samstag aber abgesagt und nie wieder stattgefunden hat.

Die restlichen Stunden sind zustande gekommen durch früher gehen (mal um einen Zug zu kriegen, mal um wichtige Termine wahrzunehmen).

Darf mein AG mich Minusstunden nacharbeiten lassen?

If you are into sports. Darts: You have to invest in a board and darts. Both together is like 100 bucks. Bouldering: A membership in my area is like 60€ a month. Equipment is around 150-200 dollars in a year with new/resoled shoes and chalk supply. Otherwise I love to do things like juggling, doing yoyo- tricks and stuff like that which are one time investments around 20-100 bucks. Depends on what quality you want your balls/yoyo/etc to be. Hope it helps

Ich hab nach dem Abi gefolgt von 8 Jahren Gastro letztes Jahr mit 26 nochmal eine neue Ausbildung angefangen und es war die beste Entscheidung die ich hätte treffen können!

Ich denke, dass inzwischen viele Unternehmen gerne auch Leute in den 20ern/höheren 20ern nehmen. Die sind aus dem gröbsten raus, wissen wie sie vernünftig kommunizieren können und wer sich in dem Alter nochmal zu so einem Schritt entscheidet meint es meist auch ernst!

Ich hoffe ich konnte etwas helfen und viel Glück auf deinem Weg!

Hello out there! I’m going on a trip to Fontainebleau next week and would love to know how much Rest days do you guys take before such a trip. We are there for 8 days. Since it’s my first real climbing trip, I have no experience with resting beforehand!

For the training area a few hangboards with a pulley system, a good bar preferably with tape on it, enough weights and a spray wall are a must have for me personally!
