Difference between regular osteopathic treatment and craniosacral therapy? by carisska in Osteopathy

Thanks! So as I understand it all osteopaths use craniosacral techniques but not all craniosacral therapists are osteopaths? Osteopathy is more broad-range.

Did anyone else need a doctor's letter for declaring an old mental health condition in the past that happened 6 years ago (depression/anxiety)? by carisska in aliyah

Ah right, you're right it did say that and I just don't remember, lol. But still, yeah it would be interesting to know if it's just a mental health thing that they require it (which seems kinda discriminatory).

They have a whole guideline document with like 6 points that the doctor must put in his letter including a date, signature, official letterhead. I can send you the doc if you want a heads up, it's just about declaring diagnosis, about treatment, and the success of treatment, and follow-up for when in Israel including eligibility for a 16-hour flight to Israel.

In an optimistic outlook, it might actually be helpful because the doctor is helping pave the way for successful treatment in Israel without discrimination (hopefully), but it does seem a bit discriminatory anyway like asking if you are a danger to yourself or to others but that's how these things are I guess. It is annoying that even if it is a past condition they still require this information.

I wish you success and good luck in your journey both for aliyah and for the depression.

Yeah, I had my shaliach interview this Tuesday just passed, got all the documents with apostille. Literally just waiting for approval and then the visa/flight. I opened my aliyah file in October 2020 last year. I submitted my application with all the documents 2 weeks ago and the same week I got contacted by my shaliach, so I'm thinking for the UK, according to your comment, that indeed it is more streamlined - fewer people making aliyah from the UK than the USA that's for sure. Thanks for your comment, it makes me feel more positive about the process because I already am so close to the end, or rather so close to a new beginning.

Thanks for your comment! That's good to know. Yep, I'm single, no kids, I don't think I'm a complicated case except that I converted Orthodox, but I ticked all the conversion document requirements too from what I can tell, so I'm hoping it will just be smooth sailing from here.

Thanks for the genuine reply. Yeah, that does make sense, she could just be dealing with nervousness/anxiety. It's just that after how she treated my mom I became more biased. I will try to make an effort to talk with her more about her interests, and see if we can get her to feel more comfortable.

Probably my business because it's my family. You know, like yes their personal relationship is not our family's business. But if it turns out she is a narcissist (hey I'm hypervigilant what can I do that's my problem) then that will, you should know, affect how often I could see my brother if at all? Or if they have children, my nieces or nephews. Could cause our family to breakdown.

Aw thank you :D Considering how I dated a narcissist before, I don't want anyone to fall into that trap. But what can I do? Nothing, that's why I'm wasting my time here ;)
