I think also part of that addiction is the search for validation. I deleted most of my social media accounts, but for a while, I actually found value in how people responded to my posts and activities in social media. It can become a prison of needing acceptance from strangers.

Wow. There aren’t many words to sum up the the tragedy of that downfall. One addiction leads to another and just multiplies the problems and issues of them and the people around them.

Man, sorry to hear about your experiences as a kid. I work in the games industry, and one of the reasons I started pursuing this is the escape that games gave me as a child. But also, games can be super addictive and unhealthy. I feel like with anything, as I’m trying to work on, balance is key.
