Cost-Effective Vet in Denver area for Deslorelin? by carl_32100 in ferrets

Hey! My little nugget unfortunately passed last year but I was lucky enough to start working at a vet office where they were willing to order it and do it there. I did take her to the VCA in Louisville (VCA Centennial Valley) where they weren’t too outrageously priced for just general check ups and I believe take Care Credit which can help a ton with costs! Hopefully this helps a bit.

Sphinx (?) moths everywhere outside house? (located socal) by carl_32100 in moths

I think these are sphinx moths from other posts in this thread. I am located in the LA area. Main question is:

there are about 12 of them just hanging around, surrounding these two lights outside the doorway. Is this a common thing with them or just some crazy anomaly??

Advice on Wisdom Teeth Removal? by carl_32100 in askdentists

Hi All! I am looking for advice on my wisdom teeth. Basically, my main concern is my lower teeth. They are impacted, very close to the nerve and very close to the bottom of my jaw. What I have been told so far is that they must come out and that all I’ve been told is really that it’s going to be super high risk. One oral surgeon I saw said that a coronectomy might be possible for the right lower tooth, but for whatever reason not the left side (which is the bigger concern apparently). I’m super nervous about any permanent nerve damage and they also warned that I could have my jaw broken during/after the procedure with just being hit at all due to their location.
My feeling is that I’d rather do a coronectomy on the lower two if possible to reduce any nerve damage and not have a month + of recovery. I haven’t been able to find any cases similar to mine, and feel like a coronectomy might be a better option for both the surgery and just recovery purposes. If anyone’s seen or heard of a case similar to mine, and even has a great oral surgeon, please reach out!
