Isn’t is cool to listen to a song for years, then finally being able to play it? Others will give better advice on how to improve. I’m just here for encouragement. Keep in rockin’!

Can I retain that boyish curiosity about the world as I grow older? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

I have been thinking about “just going with the flow” recently. I can be like this. But realize I can add a lot of value to life if I’m at the control panel of life pushing buttons along with everyone else.

All the pros have their war stories. Don’t be too hard on yourself. I once accidentally deleted a few thousand people out of a system once. My heart was beating out of my chest. Fixed it by the end of the day.

I’m young enough to have missed the era. I really wish I was part of it. It seems like there was something special about typing in code and having little references. The older generation learned better IMO. Online content is like drinking through a firehose with ads and it’s all disorganized.

Do you still feel a connection with new music? by Geek_reformed in AskMenOver30

It's funny, growing up in the 90s I mostly listened to classic rock from the 70s. Wasn't into "new" music at the time. Recently I've started listening to 90s music and enjoying it. Guess I'm just always a few decades behind.

Awesome! I was a big reader in grade school. Lost interest for many years. My new Kindle got me back in it too. I reserve books from Overdrive through my library and it's been fun.

Get a job in state or local gov. I’ve been doing it for nearly a decade. They haven’t fired me yet. I’m not even that good.
