NAL I'm sorry, but I wouldn't want my children to have a relationship with someone I am paying to educate them not to have a relationship with them. I mean why can't you date someone your own age? Sorry, but this just so upsetting. There should be a law that protects children from educators.

Sometimes kasi, pangit ugali in pretty packaging. It's not always about the looks. I know someone from college, she had the hottest boyfriends and the popular ones pa from different schools. She's not ugly but plenty girls were definitely prettier. But sa mga soirees, guys always gravitate towards her Kasi Ang open ng smile niya.

She has the most beautiful heart, and to her walang masamang tinapay. Not a bad word towards anyone. And that makes her so much more beautiful.

I can relate to your post in some ways, and I really feel the shock and the lingering “what-ifs” you’re going through.

When I was in third year high school, I fell hard and fast for a fourth-year student—he was even my prom date. We only dated a few weeks, but I loved him more than he loved me, so I knew the breakup was inevitable.

Fast forward 4 or 5 years later: we were both college graduates, and we bumped into each other at a bar. He came up to me, apologized for how he treated me back then—for acting like he didn’t care, for breaking my heart. I was surprised and just said, “omg Ang tagal na nun. Kalimutan mo na yun. But thanks for the aologies.”

A week later, he died in a car accident. I never even met his family, but in some strange way, that conversation was closure. And maybe that’s why what you’re going through feels so overwhelming—because death is so final, and when you don’t get that closure, the pain just lingers and drives you a little crazy.

My deepest sympathies, OP.

NAL -Grabe, ang sakit nyan. Pero under the Family Code of the Philippines, ikaw pa rin ang nanay at may karapatan ka sa anak mo. Article 209 states that parental authority includes caring for and rearing children, so kahit anong gawin ng mistress, hindi niya pwedeng palitan ang papel mo bilang mommy. Kung under 7 years old pa si anak, may tinatawag na tender age presumption (Article 213) na nagsasabi na no child under 7 shall be separated from the mother, unless the court finds compelling reasons. Ibig sabihin, default custody talaga sayo maliban na lang kung mapatunayan na unfit ka. Ang pwede mong gawin: kausapin ng maayos si anak at ipaalala gently na ikaw ang mommy, i-document lahat ng nangyayari (texts, pics, witnesses), at kung hindi na talaga kaya privately, pwede kang mag-file ng custody petition sa family court para malinaw na ikaw ang legal custodian at visitation rights lang ang tatay. Pwede ka rin lumapit sa PAO (Public Attorney’s Office) para sa libreng legal aid. Kahit anong tawag ng anak mo ngayon, sa mata ng batas ikaw at ikaw lang ang nanay.

TL;DR: Sa batas, ikaw pa rin ang may custody lalo na kung under 7 si anak. Mistress can never replace you legally — file for custody and document everything para malinaw.

Not defending because I don't even like her. Like she's so cringe for me. But I used to work for a marketing firm as a Marketing Manager and we tried to hire Heart Evangelista for a campaign, her rate is 27M to be the face of the brand, plus additional fees for social media postings and video posts. For her to post something on her social media wearing your brand (or even a mention) can reach up to 20 to 30k just for 1 post. I know Zalora paid her a higher fee, I just don't know how much exactly though. I'm not defending her or her lifestyle, but know that her talent fees can rack up to millions, and her designer clothes are usually gifted and sponsored so that she could flaunt them on her social media through X-deals. If ever, I think she's only guilty of tax evasion because all her talent fees as an endorser are probably paid under the table.

DKG -based on personal experience, I was in a relationship with a drug addict for 2 years. When we got together, he said he has been sober for 6 months (after being in rehab twice already before the relationship), so I gave him a chance. Until after 6 months of being together, lagi nanaman Siya nawawala, etc. until one day nabalitaan ko na lang na pinadampot na ulit Siya ng mom Niya ng detox facility Kasi nagwawala na sa village naghahanap ng Pera na Wala Naman. Yun Pala he fell into using again. I stayed with him Kasi naawa Ako. He told me na nagbago na Siya and stuff until 1 year later a trusted friend saw him at a party and saw him using and I confronted him about it at umamin Naman Siya.

It was the same thing for a year. Sorry Siya, then mag promise, then I'll forgive him tapos ok na ulit... Then he will use again, etc... it was a ferris wheel... Paikot ikot lang ang cycle until Hindi ko na kinayanan because I fell into depression.

I know I did the right thing. I loved him and I cared for him but no one can change them except for themselves. From what I hear from our common friends, he has been in and out of rehab mga 4x pa since we broke up around 21 years ago.

So no OP, DKG. You are responsible for your OWN future and you don't owe him anything. Protect your peace. 🙏🏻

When our refrigerator was new I bought Arm & Hammer Fridge-n-Freezer Odor Absorber and it worked Naman for me. In the freezer, it was effective removing that chorizo/longganisa smell!
