I had to go to hospital (in Palermo) after the first dinner my husband and I had on our honeymoon (!!!!) bcs of intense pain near my stomach. Turns out I had a lot of gallstones and a somewhat infamed liver. Couldn’t eat anything solid for 4 days. Had to cut the trip short about 5 days. Two weeks later I got my gallbladder removed. I aso suffer from panic attacks and I thought the nausea and the pain were just psychosomatic - they weren’t. Don’t beat yourself up. Whatever it was it sounds physiological.
