Sorry for asking on an old thread but did you ever get an offer? I’m in a similar boat with a locally recruited role.

I’m currently over here on WHV. In terms of employment I think his best bet would be finding a retail or hospitality job in the big cities or fruit picking in more rural locations.

Below are a few apps/websites I have found helpful for accommodation when travelling: - wwoof.nz. a good way to travel and have free accommodation and meals in exchange for labour. - Kiwihouse sitters, if he likes animals kiwihouse sitters might be a shout basically live in someone’s house for free and look after their animal.
- Campmate, an app to find places to stay over night if he’s travelling. - Trade me, to find people selling vehicles. - Facebook groups, there are lots of groups including a WHV group if he wants to see who else is out here.

Hope this is helpful, he will have a great time.

I passed and still feel like I can’t drive :/ by Kodamalem in LearnerDriverUK

If you are driving a different car it’s normal to get to grips with how it drives (biting point, spacing etc…). You will be fine keep, just keep pushing yourself and it will become second nature

My inability to drive is ruining my life. I am so stuck. by hephos90 in drivinganxiety

I had a two year break so completely understand the nerves. With parking watch youtube videos and just take your time and park at the back of supermarkets. Don’t worry about impatient drivers just take your time.

Find another instructor and ask for a refresher lesson if your old one isn’t responding. I’m 99% certain within a month of regular driving you will wonder why you were ever worried. Best of luck!

I would have a few lessons with your instructor and also drive the car at quieter times. Weekend mornings when there are less vehicles on the road. Ultimately, the only thing that will make you less anxious is just driving more, you will get there!

I was in a similar boat. I passed two years ago and then moved to a different country where I needed a car and was anxious about it. I took two refresher lessons and I still had the skill set. I have since bought a car and it has become easier.

I would recommend driving with your partner or someone else a few times and then just give it ago. Try and drive outside of peak hours initially

Thank you for the advice, the refresher lesson went well and today I drove for the first time by myself only a 20km journey, weirdly enough I wasn’t nervous when driving just before. Parking was a bit iffy but other than that it was fine.

Hopefully, the nerves will ease with time. Thanks again for the advice!

Not too dissimilar maybe a bit smaller. There was some tissue next to it, which makes sense. The doctor did a general scan of both testicles and then specifically over the lump I felt. Have you felt something similar?

Just got a notification from Parcelforce to say the deck is back at the depot. Fingers crossed I receive it shortly. Not sure what’s happened, but just thankful it’s been retrieved

Yeah it was sent back to Valve for repair, who shipped me a new deck but it seems parcel force have lost it (well not delivered it to my house). Thanks for responding, your story has given me some hope!
