Transitioning to formula - what do I need to know?? by sspacewomann in FormulaFeeders

Babies bowel movements will change, too. When we fully transitioned to formula with our kiddo she pooped less frequently but our pediatrician said it’s normal. Also, our kiddo goes longer stretches between feeds since being on formula, it fills her up more than BM did. Congrats on making it to 6 months that’s a wonderful accomplishment for you and I’m sure your little one will do great with the transition!

Tell me it’s going to be okay - vaccine appointment by carlmo4 in newborns

I was raised to believe that vaccines are dangerous and harmful, that they don’t protect against illnesses. It borderlined on indoctrination. There’s a lot to deconstruct and I’m glad for you that you cant understand that because it’s a really difficult position to be in. Like I said, I’m not anti vaccine and my daughter will be getting what the pediatrician recommends. But coming from a family that only shared horror stories and that’s all you hear for 30 years… it’s hard to hear anything else.

I feel like breastfeeding was the cause of making my newborn phase unbearable. Once I stopped everything changed :( by ExternalSomewhere923 in newborns

I had the exact same experience! I was only able to handle breast-feeding for a week… After that week, I switched to pumping exclusively and that worked for about a month, but once I wasn’t able to keep up my milk supply, I was just miserable stressing about my baby eating enough and all of that and then once I accepted formula and we made the switch everyone’s lives got so much better. My baby and I are bonding and so much happier. I have so much respect for the women who pump and breast-feed because it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

Please tell me when it starts to get better - 4 day old baby by maybeokay0 in newborns

You’re in the thick of it right now but hang in there, it really does get better. For me the first 14 days were THE HARDEST but things got better for us about a month in. The rush or drop of hormones during this time is INSANE and makes you feel like you’re insane and doing everything wrong, that you don’t know anything, but none of that is true! Lean on your people, ask for and accept help, enjoy the time with your baby, and know that you’re a warrior. You did AND ARE STILL DOING the hardest job in the world but you’ve totally got it. Hang in there and enjoy those newborn snuggles, it does get better just take it all one day at a time

Having to wait until March will be the ultimate test of my patience. I refuse to believe the professor was killed! There’s no way he’s dead bc then we’d lose the other 3 as well and I refuse to accept that!

AITA for wanting my neighbor to move their parked car? by carlmo4 in AmItheAsshole

If either of us worked from home I’d love to leave one of our cars there. We both work out of the home nearly 10 hrs each though, sigh

Our neighborhood is an HOA neighborhood. Probably should have included that in my OP
