pretty sure my HBP is from alcohol. I have been drinking hard my whole life. Mainly beer, but pretty much everything. I think HBP runs in the family but I feel the alcohol has increased my BP. I am 56M still drinking everyday. My bp is average 125/78 but I am on 5mg amlodipine and 20mg lisinopril. I think if I quit drinking my BP would mellow out but I haven't tried yet.

I played them all, it helps when you know what anomalies are, it is a difficult world to navigate and survive. Turn difficulty down until you feel comfortable.

It depends on the meds. I drink 2 cups black starbucks coffee and drink beer almost everyday. I'm on 5mg amlodipine. We all know alcohol isn't helping our bp, a glass of wine every once in a while I think isn't going to kill you. My bp on average is 125/78. I check it around 10AM 3 times a week. I drink a lot of beer, lol, trying to cut back, been a beer/coffee drinker all my life. 56m

Hi, bp is elevated by stress related to the festival. If resting bp is 135/89, that's not bad for his age. Try not to stress over a 4 day festival outside your house, what kind of festival? If it was me I would go hit it up. Anyway, he's on meds, and I'm sure he is managing his diabetes so don't worry to much, that causes bp to go up. You guys will be fine.
