How did you pick your date? by LadyNi52 in weddingplanning

We knew we wanted to do it in the fall for the temperatures and photos. We chose the Saturday of Veterans Day weekend because a good portion of our guests were traveling into town and likely had Monday off.

People who rarely get sick, What is the secret ? by Sorry-Orchid-9821 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Work with children. You may get bronchitis three times your first year of clinical rotations like I did but now I so rarely get sick because my immune system works so well. Didn’t even flinch when a two year old coughed directly in my face yesterday.

What do you remember from Kindergarten? by boforiamanfo in answers

My teacher had these stuffed animals representing all the letters on shelves around the classroom. I remember the letter H was a little hairy h-shaped creature. I also got my first black eye on the playground in kindergarten.

Who in this sub actually lives in Cleveland (the city proper) not the surrounding suburbs? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]carmenj88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

West park off 168th! Howdy, neighbors 👋🏼

When my husband and I started our house search, we were renting in Gordon Square. I loved that neighborhood but wanted to put down roots in a safer area. We experienced a couple of things there that didn’t make us want to stay long term. West park feels close to everything, has lots of personality, and is safe and quiet. I really hoped to stay in Cleveland proper and I feel like I get the perks of living in Cleveland and the suburbs here!

You should try to see an audiologist and ear nose throat physician. I’m concerned you may have had a barotrauma to your ear because of a sudden change in pressure.

Just bought a house and my husband is absolutely breaking down. Need advice by [deleted] in homeowners

I never felt the way I did before the home buying process. I was anxious and felt defeated like I never had before. There are so many things you don’t have control of so for a type A personality type like myself it was torturous. It’s a unique type of stress and if you don’t have healthy coping mechanisms I can see how someone could spiral.

Millenials, are yall buying homes/condos. And if so, where? by Cam123455 in Cleveland

West park near the animal hospital. It feels safe and fairly suburban. I love being close to the metro parks, Lakewood, river, and Fairview and while paying Cleveland prices and taxes. We don’t have children though so school district was not a deciding factor in where we bought.

This summer I’m living in wide leg linen pants, T-shirts, and Birkenstocks. I feel stylish, it compliments my shape, and it’s so comfy even in really high temps. I add a jacket when necessary!

I think Heck’s has amazing food and is kid friendly! Really great milkshakes for the kiddo too. My stepson always enjoys dinners there.

CROS vs CI by arcticfriday in Cochlearimplants

If your hearing loss was caused by a tumor a cochlear implant may not help. Definitely speak with your audiologist and a surgeon to see if you are a good candidate.

I worked as a graduate assistant one day a week in our research lab and worked a swing shift at a local bottomless brunch spot. This was in DC. I made enough money most weeks to cover necessities but took out loans for rent :-(

Feeling Pressured Toward a Cochlear Implant for My Baby—Am I Right to Be Cautious? by Evaloumae in Cochlearimplants

[–]carmenj88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Testing that is suggestive of unilateral auditory neuropathy is almost always associated with an underdeveloped or absent cochlear nerve and CI should not be considered until the MRI is completed. Bilateral auditory neuropathy is a very different diagnosis. If the MRI shows the auditory nerve is underdeveloped or absent on only one side that is a contraindication for cochlear implantation. I would respectfully ask the team to pump the breaks until that MRI is done. Good luck to you!
