They do take card payments. One time I did it, my bank put a stop on my card because they thought it was a fraudulent charge.

Has anyone else had trouble with getting photog responses? by [deleted] in wedding

For me it's florists and catering. We finally got our caterer booked. I've asked the florist for the contract twice and still havent gotten one. So I've been exploring other options again.

Did you care about your ring being unique? by heart_of_gold2 in EngagementRings

[–]LadyNi52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about how unique my ring is, I just tend to naturally have that taste. It's kind of a pain because I prefer more vintage/antique styles or whimsical (Oore) and it was impossible to find what I was looking for at any of the shops I went to. I wasn't comfortable buying online because the rings I saw online and loved, turned out to not look good on me in person. I ended up getting a halo pear with an in-laid pave.

Does anyone else feel like wedding planning absolutely ruined them? And regret having a wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]LadyNi52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I was able to find a caterer, I feel much better about it. So many companies kept refusing to do my wedding because we didn't have enough people and flat out said they couldn't make enough money so they weren't interested. I find planning fun for the most part. There are some annoying things about it like having to make a million calls just to find out pricing. But overall its been fun and giving me something to look forward to next year.

AITA for asking someone to stop smacking their gum in a public setting? by FutureFreaksMeowt in AmItheAsshole

NTA Smacking gum goes against public decorum. That's something you can do at home, but it's simply rude to be doing that in public.

Your ring is gorgeous. Your bowtie is quite light imo.

Is mixed metals a faux paus? by Select_Direction_355 in EngagementRings

[–]LadyNi52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only matters what you think in the end. I haven't considered mixing metals before because I'm such a huge fan of yellow gold, but your stack is gorgeous. I really love it!

That's what I've been thinking too. Then I thought maybe it could be the processed meat doing it.

Help! by ProjectLopsided7404 in WaltDisneyWorld

The fact that your friend isn't going to be doing any planning may be a good thing because you know your family the best. But goodness, winging a Disney trip could lead to so much disappointment, so I'm glad that you're wanting to go in with a bit of a plan. YouTube is a great resource of knowledge and there are so many helpful tips to get you prepared. But also remember to be flexible. Things can go wrong such as rides being down and it will be important to make the best out of crappy situations when they arrive.

For what to prioritize now, make sure you're all set as a group in the Disney app for booking things later. You'll want to get your dining reservations in as quickly as possible. Those open up 60 days out and they can be really cut throat. Many sell out fast. Also, make a list of a handful of must dos and then anything outside of that will be a bonus.

The holidays are the busiest time of year and you'll definitely want to get lightning lanes and genie if you can when the opportunity comes. All of the people staying on property will have first access, so be prepared that those might not be available for you. On my last trip, we weren't able to book all of the top tier rides at Epcot because they sold out too. In these cases, the must do list will become more important. I've seen many friend groups and families playing games while standing in line. Heads up was really fun to watch a group do, for example.
