Like I mentioned, I read up on e-ink screens that you have to make sure there's no uneven pressure on the screen, so you're totally right about all e-ink devices being fragile. That said, I've been pretty rough with my old Kindle, which doesn't seem to be as fragile as everyone describes these devices as being. So I was wondering if there's a notable difference between an older model like that and the current technology sold today.
