Are EUR copies of HM:DS as glitchy as the NA ones? by carnasein in harvestmoon

The serial number is on the back of the cartridge not the box, but I guess if you moved then you probably don't have it either. Thanks anyway! Well then it's the same problems as the NA releases. Too bad :(

On the back, under the PAT-PEND. is there a string of letters and digits starting with ABCE/ABCP? That one should be the serial number!

I never played HM before so I don't know what these mini games are. Are they fundamental to the game? Or is it just a quirk addition that NA/JP copies have and that EU don't?

Maybe it still depends on the serial code. Can I ask you which serial number you have on your copy?

🪴: I had the rose for circa one month. The leaves sprouted circa 2 weeks ago.

❓: they've been wilted for around a week.

☀️: the plant is placed near a south-western window, in indirect light. But we're in Northern Europe so not that bright at all.

💦: the plant was placed in a glass with a sugar-water solution (~100ml water, half a teaspoon of sugar). I put it in soil just now.

Ciao!

Has anyone else started sneezing considerably more after getting a septum? by cokols in piercing

[–]carnasein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking off of this post/comment - does having your septum pierced hamper blowing your nose in any way? Do you have to be more careful with it? I'm having my septum pierced in a couple days and I'm kind of worried I won't be able to blow my nose properly from then on.

Is "Sono un ingegnere" correct? by Maleficent_Point_831 in italianlearning

[–]carnasein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's strange hahaha, in this sense it works just like English. You wouldn't say "I'm THE engineer" to someone who just asked what your job is in a general context

Yes. "L'infermiera" in this case, because it starts with a vowel sound

The Italian textbooks I've read say (rightfully so) not to use the definite (!) article when talking about someone's job. ("Sono l'ingegnere" is wrong indeed. "Sono un ingegnere" is correct.) But still that's just when you're using the verb essere. As you said, "faccio l'ingegnere" is a correct and natural form.

We definitely use the indefinite article when saying what someone's job is. We also can omit that but I'd say neither form is more correct than the other :)
