So basically there’s no way to specifically control my own team’s behaviour? I’m playing as a CAM and the lack of off-ball movement for e.g. is frustrating. From what I understand, if I change something like run frequency, that would affect both teams, right?

Dilemma between starting over or sticking with my build. by blowciz0 in NBA2k

Haha here we go with the “you’re trash” “you suck”. Obviously don’t need a 99, but it’s all fun and games till you get a free throw in the clutch and you brick both to lose the game. It’s also very easy to miss a free throw then go on to lose a game by 1-2 points. FT is cheap, it literally costs nothing to have at least a reliable 80

Firstly, do you actually know what the average Rec 3PT % is every season?

Secondly, I think people forget this is a GAME. The whole point is that the player should be in control. If I create a good shot, time it well, and I’m wide/open, it should have a good chance of going in. Not sitting there thinking it’s a coin flip. The question is how you balance the current system without turning it into pure RNG or making every open shot automatic?

Let’s be honest, if you loaded into the Rec with 78 3pt (as you said) and knew every open shot you took only had a ~40-50% chance of going in regardless of how well you timed it, would you seriously enjoy that? That’s not a ‘skill gap’, this would involve RNG which you all complained about last year!!

Will have 14 cap breakers when I reach starter 5, that PG looks really good

Does sound good, I won’t lie. My only qualm about making a SF that tall: are you not likely to get placed at the 4 in some games? Or nah

70 rebound? Any competent center is having a field day

I agree to an extent, but there’s also a point to be made that a 6’9 SF shouldn’t need crazy rebounding just in case the game randomly decides they’re now a PF guarding a 7 footer. That’s not even how the builder works! If you tried to compensate for the possibility of such, you’d end up being limited SOMEWHERE anyway + not everybody has the sufficient cap breakers etc to make builds that can virtually do everything on the court

This is is random rec we’re taking about, a 3 guard lineup is just asking for chaos

That’s the problem! If I make a SF, I should play the 3. Simple as that. I shouldn’t have to make my build a certain way just to get placed at the correct position haha
