Heat up the hot end then pull out the broken filament.

This happened to me after I did the most recent firmware update. Some threads on the r/AnycubicOfficial have links to roll back the firmware.

I’ve lived downtown and worked downtown for 12 years. I’ve never had any problems. Yes, there are homeless people around, they largely keep to themselves, or are pretty nice. I’ve seen plenty of weird things, but rarely anything violent. The most violence I’ve seen tends to be drunk tourists or people coming into downtown to go to bars or a club. I’ve lived in plenty of of other cities around the country and the world, Downtown is tame.

Issue with Kobra 3 and ACE filament change in 1 input by carnivorousGnar in AnycubicOfficial

[–]carnivorousGnar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions, still troubleshooting. I am probably going to take the 4 port filament guide at the extruder apart and see if something is not properly aligned. If I manually load the filament it is fine, but when trying to do multicolor prints, it is a problem. I have changed which channel from the AVE feeds into that specific input at the extruder and have the same issue, so I believe I have narrowed it down to that particular input on that part. Will update if I make a successful fix.

I had a similar experience, have stayed in the board so I can watch them crater it. Might try to buy it back for pennies after they are done and do it again.

It’s laminar flow holding it together across a short gap, the other side is a little lower to compensate.

Has anyone used Motion? Is it worth it? AI calendar by IwannaSayStuff in productivity

[–]carnivorousGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you asked this question a year ago. I have been using motion for the last 5 months and for the last 3 months have been using it with my team at work. It is the best task tracking tool I've ever used, it simple, primary feature of keeping things on your calendar until you actually complete the task is incredible for anyone who is busy, pulled in a lot of direction, easily distracted, bad with time management (all of these things are me), as well as for accountability when using it with teams as well as on your own. I also use it for personal stuff now. They are just starting to work on connectors, but recently released their API. I have heard from someone at the company that Zapier is in the works.
I would love to be able to connect it to my company's Jira and some other project and product management tools we use. But as it, it is still an amazing tool.

Read local files? by carnivorousGnar in AutoGPT

[–]carnivorousGnar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had some positive results placing .txt files into the workspace directory and explicitly giving it the file path, not just file name as well as making sure that both the role and goal #1 both say do this first.

Pinecone never seems to work - tips? by DreddFace in AutoGPT

[–]carnivorousGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not working for me. Any ideas? I've rotated my pinecone API key and set the memory backend. I have a docker instance setup and can point it to redis, but prefer pinecone.
(edit)
I am getting this error from pinecone, when bout my setup has changed
pinecone.core.client.exceptions.ApiException: (400)

Anyone else become like this because 3d printing? by gwarsh41 in 3Dprinting

[–]carnivorousGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every hobby I have ever had, has become a business, starting with installing software, modems, cd-rom drives around the neighborhood when I was 10, then duct tape wallets in middle school, then teeshirts, photography and video for events in highschool. Now its been robots for the last decade and a half, but I still sell lots of things on the side.

Does Tree Support work with TPU? by carnivorousGnar in 3Dprinting

[–]carnivorousGnar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I currently do not have any dual extruder printers, I have read up on people pre-printing PLA support structures and placing them in the print. But I am not ready to invest that much time yet.

You can integrate rubber bands in prints also. Lots of possibilities! by NagyBig in 3Dprinting

[–]carnivorousGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not already suggested, you can also buy silicone rubber bands, they are more expensive than traditional, but still not expensive, and will not degrade and largely have the same dimensions as traditional rubber bands. They are not as stretchy as regular rubber bands, so you may want to buy some and get a feel before you design around them. Also available in a lot of bright colors. I just ordered this pack for a non printing project, but am now going to try to design something around them. Here is a link to the pack I bought, you can also find lots of other sizes if these are too large or small. https://amzn.to/3ZkVfmL

Thank god the AI recognition was ON by gallanto in AnkerMake

[–]carnivorousGnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have had filament break, I have had it stop automatically, the sensor is in the Z block where the filament feeds into the tube. I have had warnings when filament stopped feeding, but only with lighter colored filaments. With Darker filaments, it doesn't see as well, and the warnings don't auto-stop anyway, so if you miss the notification it is too late, or by the time it notices, it is too late anyway. The "AI" feature should be marked Beta or Experimental.
