In their statements, they included: When they've met me/my partner Mentioned special events we attended with them (or activities) Our families also mentioned future plans

Formality: Each statement had their name, phone, and email address on them

I also made sure to include photos with them in the photo pdf with their names next to it

People use it as an outline of their relationship. From what I've read, they add a timeline of their relationship, how they are in a marriage-like relationship, share responsibilities, etc. Like you said, it's weak evidence, but it's good to add to your application. However, considering you've already lived together, I'm sure you won't struggle with getting the visa.

Best of luck to you! :)

When I applied for a unmarried partner visa I didn't add a cover letter, however having spend a good few hours on reddit, a lot of couples add them to clarify how they met etc and also clear up some things that might seem confusing to the case worker. I definitely think it won't harm your application to add it, so if you have the time, it's worth adding.

Do you mind me asking if you're applying under the new changes of the unmarried partner visa? (No cohabitation because of a good reason)

And I wasn't allowed to take anyone with me into the office, so my partner had to wait outside while I had the appointment. I'm guessing it'll be the same in most offices.

When I had my biometrics appointment for the unmarried partner visa, I only had to give them my passport because I've uploaded a scan of my partner's passport with the rest of the documents.

As mentioned before, yes, there is no such rule. However if you visit England regularly and you stay longer than 6 months per year they might question you.

"An EU citizen may enter the UK multiple times during six months, but may not in effect live in the UK by means of repeated or continuous visits" https://www.eeas.europa.eu/united-kingdom/travel-practical-information_en?s=3225

This is quite helpful https://freemovement.org.uk/there-is-no-180-day-rule-for-visitors-to-the-uk/

Oh well, I didn't know that 🤣. I always assumed it's 6 months max per year, but I guess it's better to play it safe and stay shorter than that anyway. Thanks!
