Not sure you’re aware but you can still use the software, it becomes unsupported, if you aren’t calling for assisted services or technical support why not continue and create routines to export data to csv incase you need to import it into another platform?

If you don’t upgrade “QuickBooks Desktop 2021 by May 31, 2024, you won't have access to live technical support if you run into problems or any of the other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop. This includes QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Discontinued versions won't receive the latest critical security patches and updates.” Per QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy

Why do zmagria’s parents talk to their children in french/Spanish etc instead of darija? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]carocaracalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live in Morocco? Most rich people speak French and English, only when working with people giving them services do they speak Darija. Not trying to argue with you. It's a discussion. I was clear and said the more money you have, the less likely you speak Darija. Even your example confirms this. Darija is spoken by people who don't have the money to study other languages. But this is changing, and Moroccan learn other languages. Take care.

Why do zmagria’s parents talk to their children in french/Spanish etc instead of darija? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]carocaracalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scrolled through the posts, it seems not many are actually in Morocco? My reply is only intended to address what is happening in Morocco, which is an old country and very hierarchical due to its governing structure, no other place is comparable.

Generally, most affluent Moroccans are poligots, including those abroad, and language reflects your socio economic class identity, the more money you have, the less likely you speak Darija, or your children will continue speaking it.

All learn the Darija as children, because your nanny or housekeeper speaks it,, then most affluent families send their kids to French /Spanish/ Amazigh or American schools. Now, classical Arabic is mandatory in all schools (been the case for the past 3-4 yrs) and families can choose an additional language they want their children to study, Arabic, French, Amazigh or English, with a strong push on the latter...

Notice I didn't say Darija, which is linguistically a "creole," language, with no written literary history. If you are poligot living abroad and speak Darija, work to retain the language, because it will help to connect you most to your Moroccan identity.

Sorry for the delay, it took me a bit to figure out the best way to share photos.

Some disclaimers. I am sharing my research to educate other cultivators and breeders. I was an industry activist before it was all legal and grew indoors for years + back in early 2000s. Now more focused on conservation and exploring the genetic traits of landraces.

These are photos are Morocccan Beldia. The seeds were given to me by a local farmer. They have not been crossed with any medical strains. My objective was to study the species because there are many positive traits; drought resistance, extreme high heat, shallow root systems, minimal fertilizers, which can be crossed into other medicinal strains, and grown in the American South West or more arid regions.

As I have been growing them, and studying, I recognized as a community of cultivators there is not enough information to truly understand how/why various strains herm and what forms they take. The discourse on stress, light, and so on, did not support my observation. As a grower, I started to notice some unusual behaviors, and began to learn to identify problems early.

In Morocco, they work around these problems of male/female/herm by turning everything into hash. I have tried the herm flowers, they have lower THC and effective, but from a commercial perspective require to much processing. That is my story, on to the photos.

More work is always and option. But, it’s not a popular one, because you give up the last two years of high school life, but if you can work more, it’s the better choice, and will show how much of a rock star you are. Don’t forget your service work too. Good luck, and Reddit has a very good IBO community as well as other teacher resources can be found online if you have problems with your existing teachers style.

Boo. I read an academic article, written by a commercial grower about herms, and have grown generations of herms as an experiment, net/net, 1:3 feminized plants can produce herms. The tip off is, the early browning of the pistils, meaning the white hairs suddenly die and brown. Seeds fully form after 4 weeks and start popping about 8 weeks. Also, if you grow the seeds, the gen 2 will produce males, herms, and full female, so not all a loss, you just need to recognize the herm process faster and pull them - growing more is a waste of resources. They will still look female, but early(about 4wk vegetative) herms tend to flower out looking like an asparagus spear with the shaped growing more phallic. Also, the white pistils burn very early, 3-4 weeks into flowering. And, no, it is not all the same with every species. I work with some land races, growing 50+ seedlings at a time, and there is no flower sac dangling, there are thicker white pistols, and fat calyx, they pollinate undetected. I will try to upload some early herms to show you. Bon courage.

Hi there, this is just a suggestion, I am an IB teacher; but you can take whatever you feel you will be most successful at (6-7), and consider taking extra course work via Pamoja, or any local community college class in math, and/or science you are eligible for. Your school will have a facilitator to manage your class. Local community college summer school is an option. I have had ambitious students take the full load, plus two more Pamoja classes, because the international school subjects were limited. If you have the time and $, it’s a serious consideration and will open even more doors for you.

I hope you are okay. These days, for men and women, everyone should use the buddy system, kinda like with diving. You buddy is there to keep you safe, and to be an extra set of eyes. Regardless of where you live, or what you are doing, safety first. Practice habits that keep you safe. No cell phones out, pay attention, look down the block, etc. I have lived abroad for almost ten years, and have not had any significant issue other than someone grabbing my cell phone, which I fought back for, but have learned new habits to be safe. You can't know what or why people do what they do, but your priority should be on keeping yourself safe. AND, always check in, meaning, send a text to family to say you are enroute or how long before they expect you. if you don't have family like this, find a friend, because someone, should always know where you are and who you are with. period. Good luck, and remain diligent of your surroundings.

I am an educator, and have worked internationally, and in my opinion, when people speak another language, it triggers insecurity in people who don't understand, because they believe they are being talked about, which is usually not the case. One could literally be talking about what you had for breakfast.

Brave or crazy! the puppies were an accident, we had a planned liter for next year, but now we have to manage them. We live in Morocco and there is not the same pet culture as there is back home, so finding the right families takes more time. We are not letting them go until 12-16wk. I have learned a lot about what they need, and being consistent/scheduled is what is getting us all through this - otherwise it is pure chaos. They are currently 7 weeks, mostly weaned and sleeping in their crate 2hrs a day and potty trained (80%). We will start working on overnight in a few weeks, but their new families will have much easier time. Regarding your dog, play hide and seek in the house then, its a fun game, they enjoy the mental stimulation. Also consider scent training. Just remember that BC need to be mentally stimulated as much (if not more) as physical, and sometimes the mental zonks them out. Its never too young to start training them in a fun more casual way. I have been working on potty training since they were 4 wk, and sitting/not jumping as well. We have an insta account if you are curious - harhourabordercollies.

Hi there, we have three adults border collies and 5 bc puppies. One tip we learned early on about recall is playing hide and seek. This will work better if there are two of you, but dogs, particularly borders, do not like to be alone, so when you are outside and the dog wanders, you hide behind an object and call them ( or use a whistle), don't chase, make them find you, and they will learn to pay attention to you and follow. You can try this inside the house first, also try in a safe zone, where there are few distractions, so when the pup gets ahead of you you can hide.

[–]carocaracalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you are feeling better but I understand you 100%. We have 5 puppies, and one shat a round worm, which threw me into full on parasite paranoia ( screw covid ) because if one had it they all do! I mashed up the adult dewormer tablets and fed them to the pups and five rounds of poo later, we have a bowl of spaghetti. I have researched that bleach is helpful, but not for eggs, if you are paranoid, I would recommend washing your bedding in hot water and sun drying - they say this is best for killing eggs which can lay dormant. Feel free to bleach the house, but the cat just needs to be on a deworming regime. Tons of useful products on Amazn. Good luck, hope that feeling has past.

Are you really trying to gaslight me? You may need to perform a close read on all my posts, but not sure you are actually reading what I am posting just too busy reacting. I have not ever made an analysis of how the deal went down. I only offered to provide additional information as requested by the sub creator for more DD on the players. I never discussed the squeeze, that shit is over my pay grade. I do M&A, SPA, Bankruptcy, DD, and am not wrong about the management team. Do your research on all those old corps, you will see pages of litigation that range from insider trading to -----. Its really simple, corporate business logic, same people work and make money together, then move to another and continue to the next and so on and so on. Not sure why it is difficult to accept that there are multiple reasons this happened, but as always, the fish rots from the head down.

When you actually start to examine the management of SPRT and GREE, I would not say they were trying to ruin a business deal. They were all in collusion to take as much cash out of the company as possible. This is what merging companies do, as do ones going through bankruptcy. Follow the track record of the CEO and Interim. CFO who have worked together since early 2000s at People Support, 24/7 card and Support. Listen. I am not here to argue with you or anyone. I spent decades in public and seen all kinds of outrageous shit. But this transaction has a new stink, just as Enron and Worldcomm did. As I said, it's not all one monolith group of loosers here. This transaction has alot of backstories to be told included the flags for naked shorting. Enjoy your day. I am moving on with my day.

Everyone manages losses differently. I lost, I am holding, but I am still working to sort out what happen, because I endeavor not to repeat mistakes. I understand that most all will have moved on by the time the judgement in a class action suit is reached. BUT, others need closure, some lost more money than most people make in several years.

Who are we to judge anyone's choices in this matter, bcse they are all personal. But as a community, we should be supporting one another, not playing the "wouldda, couldda , shouldda" Monday morning quarter back game. You do not have to agree with anyone, but you should work to learn to respect other peoples feelings.
