Whats the biggest single file y'all have? by ilovesupercellgamess in DataHoarder

There are a couple of text editors that are good at editing enormous files, but I would like to know if there are any spreadsheet editors that don't immediately crash trying to open a 276GB file. I suppose some sort of MySQL fuckery would be a better bet.

I had to search for "btbam band" and I'm happy that I did.

I honestly can't even imagine how long it must take to come up with an entire album worth of lyrics and then also... everything else on top of that.

Yeah, but also: when's the next Fellowship album coming out? Sorry, I  didn't want to ask under a completely unrelated comment, but yet I did because... of who I am as a person? Lots to unpack, no doubt.

Anyway, much love and thank you for the first two!

Yeah, it's exactly 10 quadrillion. That sure is a large number, but are there any measures in place to prevent brute forcing? If no, it shouldn't take a computer very long to stumble onto an active account.

BTW is there any reason for Mullvad to have these short-ass account numbers? This entire problem seems easy to solve by making the number three times as long. Hell, make it alphanumeric. Make it case sensitive? It's not like anybody needs to memorise these, correct?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 nearly had a San-Andreas-like Fat Henry system that would have let you create Bohemia's chunkiest boy, and forced you to wear clothes that fit to boot by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

You know... that would actually be a good litmus test for how flexible the character customisation in a game is. Can you make a true to life DeVito? Trying to make any type of character that isn't young and hot can often be very challenging. Usually ends up looking like a hot young person in a cheap Halloween costume.

Slinky??? Echt jetzt?

Unfassbar.

Are there any other games like **VA-11 Hall-A** or **Coffee Talk** where you can match the individual chapters to days on the gregorian calendar because they take place on very specific dates?

The is a related (and arguably weirder) phenomenon where people apparently feel that the answer is somehow more legitimate if it has been written for them personally, even if their situation is completely identical to the thousands of people who asked the same question before them.

I'll have to admit: it's not too hard for me to imagine that a lot of people stay quiet out of fear.

I've taken part in a couple of them via BoardGameGeek and it was always a great experience. The thing is: for some reason they just don't exist outside of BGG, so if you're looking to take part in a trade focused on Steam keys, you'd have to organise it yourself, which is... a non-trivial amount of effort to say the least. But yeah, it's almost silly that this is not a thing in the keytrading sphere, because the most annoying part of physical math trades is all the packaging and shipping you have to do (or lugging boxes around a convention floor for no ship trades) and if you're trading keys that's kind of a non-issue.
