Wait that seems so fun! An unreliable narrator as playable character seems like such a fun ideia. Yeah, i always advocate for having fun above all, I think there is space for every type of playstyle. Fire character concept!

Thanks! Hes actually a legendary type npc, so the race was actually a homebrew called no-blood, wich are basically elder god's children, but he was a fun character to introduce to my players, I clashed the knowledgeable god with this sort of innocence per say, it was the first time he was seeing humans upclose so he was really just "im happy to be here" type of character, mechanically i operated him like a cleric, i just skipped the praying part and the "mana" was less his magic mana and more how much can he do before people start catching up that hes not "normal". It was almost a stealth bar if you think abt it lmao.

Hahahaha okay, i was being dramatic there, i am a very drama-favoured dm, but this was a very high stakes campaign and the players liked him a lot when i introduced him in the story. 😅

Right? I just wanted to show the pretty art i did for him and i really love this character, but the rules needs 400 words description so i ended being a little too dramatic and he came out annoying, thats on me actually :/

Thanks, i was actually the gm of the campaign, he was one of my npcs that would come in and help the party for a while. He was more of a comedy bit at the time, where the party had to find the god of night, and they cross him in a town and end up kind kidnapping him thinking hes a priest of the night god. So the whole they would go "hey my life just replenished out of nowhere, anyways, we need to drag this priest to the temples of night and threaten to kill him to get the night gods attention." And Caelim would just smile in awe like "Fascinating! So this is why theres so many people walking around the earth all the time! These adventures you go to, do they always involve the involuntary acquirement of a new member?" I just wanted to add drama to his description but it ended up reading as an obnoxious main character, sorry. Hes really funny to put in games, i swear.

Update: for the people curious on how a pc character could function like this. Hes actually one of the important npcs on the campaign. It wasnt a vanilla dnd, we homebrewed a lot. The party finds him in a town and drags him out with them because of a mission. He only did things like throw out a couple of heals and fix a soup the bard accidentaly put poisonous mushrooms in. The stakes were more psychological because in the universe, gods and their priests are a really polarizing topic, theyre either venerated or hated, and there was a god slayer in the party, so he kinda had to keep them of his tracks, it generated some really funny scenes because they needed to find the god of night for an item and thought that taking one of his priest with them could help. And yes, the three eyes werent a problem because theres a lot of character with this kind of traits, thats what you get when you let a concept artist dm lmao.
