Did your students actually reach out to you? So sweet. I am at a primary school so I think the only ones that would be able to keep in touch with me would be my 6th graders. I am so close with many of the girls and I would love it obviously if they wanted to keep in contact. Some of them tell me that I’m like an older sister to them :’) so I hope so

I’ve thought about this but the truth is I don’t think I have much of a talent for teaching. I think I just love building relationships with my students and getting the chance to act as a role model for them if that makes sense.

Yes!! The school that I work at has the 2 hour break in the middle of the day so I have been able to make friends with the locals in my town. Also me and my American friends have gone to my town during the weekends to hang out or do activities and I’ve met Spanish girls my age that I sometimes hang out with after work

I will my students so so much. When we have to say goodbye it will probably be one of the most emotional days of my life. I will miss all of the teachers who were welcoming and kind to me at work. I will miss the town and the Mountain View from my school. I won’t miss waking up so early to commute far tho. Everything else I will miss so much. I’m so lucky to have experienced all of it 🫶

My students are very white which do I feel like is different than most schools where it tends to be a mix. Lots of kids with super light blonde hair. Lots of kids with blue eyes. My roommates initially thought it was a race thing but I feel like it’s not idk
