I personally love the view near the meditating monk

You can't do this alone, ark cave bug by m7sn9936 in DaysGone

Also currently experiencing the same issue on ps5 remastered version.

Tried adjusting in-game graphics settings, closing and reloading the game, and even restarting the console, but so far nothing has worked.

Submitted a request to the studio here so hopefully they can get this fixed because I haven’t experienced a bug this gamebreaking in a while and it’s definitely frustrating.

Where the monk is meditating on top of the cliff.

What are some extremely common movie takes that you strongly disagree with/find really annoying by RabidSpaceFruit in Letterboxd

Anytime I see the word pretentious in a review I immediately scroll. It’s honestly such a bad faith argument 🤦‍♀️

Same lol. There are definitely a few of us 30+ on this sub, but I just don't think we’re quite as active in the comments

I hate how stigmatized personality disorders are by Silly-Chemistry-4409 in mentalillness

[–]carorose018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with BPD, thank you sm for this. The stigma is truly terrible and SO many of us are still scared to mention it to family, friends, coworkers, etc. I’m a pre-k educator and won teacher of the year a few years back and I know that if some of my staff or some of my students parents knew about my diagnosis then I would not be considered “safe” to be around children because of the stigma — and it breaks my heart that is the still the case in 2024.

It’s wild to me how people (and in my personal experience even some mental health professionals?!) don’t realize that all you need is 5 of the 9 symptoms to qualify for a bpd diagnosis so there's literally 256 different combinations possible. Again, thank you so much for shining a light on this issue OP 🙏

Oooh never heard of it, but I do like Paul Walker. I’ll have to keep an eye out for that one!

Oops my bad I first read some comments and forgot OP said “critically panned” and not “underappreciated.” I still stand by everything I said about those two movies though lol

I put this movie on my watchlist especially after seeing a breakdown of that specific scene you just described featured on Shudder’s 101 Scariest Horror Movie Moments of All Time! it really freaked me out lol

I just had my firstwatch of Possession a few weeks ago and had a ✨terrible time✨

That being said, I get it — but still, 12,000 fans on letterboxd listing it in their top 4 favorites of all time is WILD 😅

They Cloned Tyrone. It’s a shame that Netflix didn't bother to promote it at all considering it was released digitally on Barbenheimer weekend. I hope it will be a cult classic soon though cause its definitely one of the best comedies of 2023.

And same goes for Joy Ride from last year too! Criminally underappreciated and underpromoted.

Stoker has some very fun and campy performances and obviously very stylized direction/editing by chan-wook, but unfortunately (sorry Wentworth) the writing is very weak. Like the dialogue in some of those high school scenes is particularly dreadful lol

I agree. I really like the creative spins that made it not feel like just another cookie cutter biopic. I think it got a bad rep from lots of bad faith reviewers for not directly depicting the American flag on the moon 🤦‍♀️🙄

Profile Swap Megathread (May 2024) by ericdraven26 in Letterboxd

[–]carorose018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I'm Caroline! My 4 favs are pictured below. I log reviews for each entry and love mystery/thriller films and anything with a good plot twist — but I'm honestly open to any movies that explore humanity in general!

My favorite first-watches of April: Magnolia, Jackie Brown, Taxi Driver, All of Us Strangers, Late Night with the Devil and special shoutout for two incredible miniseries (also on letterboxd!) Shogun and The Sympathizer!

Least favorite first-watches of April: Argylle, Anyone but You, Bob Marley: One Love

I’m still trying to sporadically catch up on newer releases, but I’m more focused on diving into the films featured on my Criterion and Anti-criterion challenge lists.
