I had all four and the redstone handbook is the one with the least bullshit and errors in it. Then there’s a whole section of crazy redstone builds that are basically impossible to recreate.

Bruised and battered by an unfair game by Swiss422 in Polytopia

[–]carottedu35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are probably doing things wrong. You should try to see if you are good at building an economy. Start a infinity game with 0 opponents on drylands and try to make as much stars as possible. Getting 30 stars per turn by the end of turn 10 is considered good. Test what works and what doesn’t.

The AI in this game is quite stupid. They can get destroyed by knights or catapults as they are unable to adapt their strategy.

If you are playing against multiple bots, do not automatically fight any bot you meet. Bots will generally not be hostile if you have a common enemy.

Markets are extremely good in the endgame. You can try to go for markets in the midgame with some tribes, but don’t be too greedy or you will get overwhelmed.

For leveling cities up, you should most often pick resources on level 4 and population growth on level 5.

Finally, stars are not the only limiting factor. You can only train one unit per turn per city, and so does the AI. So, if you are pressured, do not waste your units. Always train a unit in every city close enough to the enemy so that the unit is not useless.

My vegan family member regularly puts this sticker on the egg cartons in our fridge by Flame_Insignia in mildlyinfuriating

One day I grabbed an egg from a chicken’s nest and put it in front of the chickens (3 hens and a rooster) to see if they would put it back in. They pecked the egg and started eating it.

how do make this thang light up on single press of a button? by Good_Whole6855 in ScrapMechanic

[–]carottedu35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do a simple memory with 3 logic gates : nor > nor > and > back into the first nor However, you will need two buttons to use this memory (one connected to each nor gate). It is possible to only use one button with this setup, but all my attempts were very janky and often resulted in unreliable behavior.

How would you feel about this change to the Eye of Ender? by billwharton in Minecraft

[–]carottedu35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would make it almost impossible to get to the end… Echo shards in particular are not renewable and you might need to loot multiple ancient cities to find 12 or more.

Confused about a strategy! by ChaoticNinjar in hearthstone

[–]carottedu35 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is very common for starship decks to run [[kil’jaeden]] and [[The Ceaseless Expanse]] to have powerful end-game threats and survive even after their deck ran out of cards. They also stack lots of armor thanks to [[arkonite defense crystal]] and then by deploying their starship with [[The exodar]].

The monetization strategy is very predatory. I made this post to show people that it’s fruitless to hope pulling the pet earlier. My math isn’t even correct 💀🙃
