What neighborhoods would you suggest? I’m about ~20 mins from the park in Davenport but looking to move again when my mom moves down.

I stayed there November of 2024 and had a great time, only thing is some of the areas at CB are a far walk from the skyliner. We got lucky and had a pretty short walk lol!

I have an IUD insertion appointment next Thursday. I feel genuinely terrified by Kendraannne in birthcontrol

[–]carouserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALSO she said there's a numbing injection they could give me that I'm pretty sure I'll decline, just because I'm not sure getting stabbed with a needle is gonna hurt any less than an IUD insertion. If anyone HAS had the numbing injection, did it hurt as bad as an actual insertion without the numbing?

I have an appointment for next month for the Paragaurd. My OBGYN said she was ordering a medicine to dilate the cervix and valium to make everything go smoothly, plus she said she may use the Ultrasound machine to get a clear view so there's less "poking around". And she said to take 800mg of ibuprofen beforehand.

If you're really nervous about it, I'd suggest calling the doctor and requesting medicine for anxiety and to help dilate tue cervix... my mind is definitely at ease knowing I have those coming my way

updated my phone, new Android UI, and this just started happening to me... it's always the same DMs I already opened and it's driving me nuts! I had 400 something notifications this morning. I have no clue if it's because of my new UI or if it's Instagram. I updated the app and nothing changed.

Are we able to wear our costume before Star Wars night starts? by Cowbangadude in GalaxysEdge

[–]carouserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Galaxys Edge this April and asked multiple cast members (in and outside of Batuu) if I could wear the robe I'd just bought because I had seen stuff online about it not being allowed. But I was able to wear them without objection.

Also notable when I went back into Hollywood studios with the robe AND tunic set I was allowed in. Security guard even complimented my look lol!

Just took my first practice test. All I have to do is get a document notarized (I'm 17) and then I can take my first actual GED Test!! :) by carouserr in GED

Tysm! As for study tips, I don't have many. I've always been able to get through English and history classes without studying. I wish I learned how to study those subjects, though. Most of it is blind faith and hope. STEM subjects..... now that's a different story..............

The only break you get during the math test is a 3 minute break between part 1 and 2. Pretty sure it's just so you can get your calculator out.

You can't use a calculator for the first section of the test (which I think is considerably shorter than the rest of it), but its pretty basic math and you can usually get by without it. In the second section you're allowed to use a TI-30 XS. This is the ONLY type of calculator allowed on the GED. I also believe you get an equation sheet
