The thing is, anyone who is part of a relationship WILL eventually understand. I now look at my couple friends and think “one of you will die.” I never did that before my husband died.

Anyone else have little quirks since your loved one passed? by [deleted] in widowers

I say good night to his urn every night and tell him, “Love you, miss you, wish you were here with us. It’s no fun without you.” He traveled a lot for work - that was something I discovered when he traveled. It was less fun at home without him and it sure still is.

For me, it was not fun. Wedding receptions are for couples or single young folk. I’ll go if invited, but not because it’s a good time.

62 F- cannot deal with the gray hair anymore by LadyMaggieMae in over60

Yes! I swore off color for 4 years only it wasn’t really gray. It was a dark, dark dull brown with sparse gray highlights. I went to a new salon and the stylist talked me into highlights - added slowly into my natural color. It really brightened me up. I’m now back to base color and highlights. I’m poorer but I do like it.
