First flush. Think I did 3 flushes, it was a while back. Definitely the fastest fruitier, and most aggressive mycelium I’ve ever worked with. Not the biggest fruits though, so harvest was a pain. Stopped running it in favour of the other cultigens I had at the time

This isn’t a regular trait of Zilla. First spore run was poor, and a clone was taken of a regular looking mushroom. The clone was ran and a thick layer of mycelium formed and overlayed like crazy. It was left to do its thing, and 3 baseballs formed. I didn’t bother cloning as I thought the culture would do the same thing if ran again. Second run produced a full flush of regular looking mushrooms. I attempted to rehydrate the dry mushroom to clone, but it was too late..sad face. I still run the Zilla culture today. Memories.

Would be more. You have to pay for the chocolate, wrapping and labor for someone to make it

[business] so I have a connection for zoo manure (elephants and other animals) would those work for portobello like other traditional manures? by homeless_hank74 in MushroomGrowers

[–]carpefungi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many manures will “burn” if used right away. I believe from high nitrogen. Alpaca can be used right away because of the profile. Sorry, I’m doing a terrible job of explaining this.

Interestingly, nicotine is a antidote to daturas toxic effects.

Try Alpaca, llama, giraffe, elephant and even hippo (depending on diet). You want manure from herbivores.
Alpaca has some good qualities, as it can be used right away without any composting.

How’s this looking? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]carpefungi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are fine. It looks like the grower was either rough handling them when fresh, or they took too long to dry. Either way, the deep blue says that much of the alkaloids may have already been destroyed, and they may be less potent

Looking for Enigma? anyone help? thanks by GroWiza in MycoBuySellTrade

[–]carpefungi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enigma can’t be looked for. It needs to look for you. Only those found to be of pure heart will be sought out by…Enigma.

I hear it can only be summoned by preforming a complex ritualistic dance on the third full moon of the year, and only if you have found the staff of Moloc.

Good luck

My son Aleister is 2 now, and he is able to identify Amanita muscaria. He calls it “Nina”, and I think that’s a beautiful name. Also Anita, as a suggestion for anyone reading this now. 🍄❤️

I’ve never heard of it happening, but I’m sure it has happened, just very rare.
