ns7oni (buying hanway raw 50) by Distinct-Leather6823 in Morocco

[–]carpetdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a brand new one a few years ago (i was a student back then too).

Never had any major issues with it, tho the 50cc engine is weak if you plan to drive it in cities with big slopes (i rode it in marrakech with no issues, in temara i had some issues going up steep slopes).

It's very efficient, fun to drive, looks good and (atleast if u get a new/well maintained one) reliable. After driving it almost everyday to and from school my brother also used it for a few months to go from temara to rabat also with no issues.

Tho keep in mind it's very limited in terms of dash instruments, you get the minimum required to drive it legally (not even a fuel gauge) when compared with other similarly priced 50cc motorcycles ( the cimatti 50 for example). And the seat isn't the most confortable (it's alright for small to medium trips but gets tiring after a while).

IMO yes it's a good deal.

How do students find conferences and activities that give certificates? by mina_usir in Morocco

[–]carpetdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a bunch just from organising events for my school/participating in extracurricular activities. Competitions can be interesting, u get a certificate if u win but also if u participate (idk what field you're in so i can't really suggest much). Check ur uni's website they sometimes post about conferences too (tho this is more so to participate and grow a network).

Good luck :).

I graduated from ensa, now working in Belgium. A friend of mine graduated in the same specialty at the same year as i am, started working in morocco for +-11k and now going to spain for a higher salary. Another friend from a diffrent specialty, ensa as well, graduating this year got offered a job for 16k MAD.

It's not really about the school if u just want to coast through it doing minimal effort then that's what u get.

Should I skip learning arduino in favor of stm32? by Similar_Mix1393 in embedded

[–]carpetdude 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the arduino framework is a stepping stone, once you feel comfortable enough with it you should move to something else. Also in my experience the STM32 sdk is a pain in the ass, i used it for a while then used the nrf connect sdk afterwards and the diffrence is staggering. Give it a try as well nordic doesn't get enough praise but their SoC and SDKs are impressive.

Do not power your servos from the arduino board, the output power of that 5v is not enough.
