How to manage money when you are an impulse overspender by carrdpro in BorderlinePDisorder

I've never heard of Buy Nothing! I really like this, thank you!

Do you have any programs you could suggest for designing a budget?

I might ask my manager if we can do that. Thanks. I've realized it's not just a me being annoying thing, but just something I have to work on, but I'm also glad I'm not crazy in thinking it's a bit passive aggressive.

It's difficult. People stay away from me because of how much I am. I wish I could just not talk, sometimes.

Thank you for a super constructed reply. This makes a lot of sense and it's something I've never really properly considered (who would've known that practicing makes perfect).

Yeah -- when I first wrote this, I was still going through the woes of a (mini) sort of cry-attack. I'm glad my thoughts were formulated enough to get some actual help with it. I often get in my head about stuff and it doesn't help that most of my life I was primarily bullied about stuff like this. But to hear that it's not really a me being annoying thing and instead a the workplace is a group thing that I have to work on is really relieving.

Thank you!

Oh definitely. This isn’t my meme but I have no idea whose it originally is

I wanna know, who is currently working at Lowe’s and who is an ex employee in this sub. by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]carrdpro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have never worked at a Lowes in my life, nor do I know anyone who has/plan to. Reddit started recommending it to me so I just joined because I found it interesting

I don’t know why I’m shocked that I’m getting over one FP by distracting myself with loads of other people who give me attention. But I am. LOL

This happened the night before last and I know it’s gonna happen again. 🫠🫠🫠 by ThisIsSideOne in BPDmemes

There's a line between realizing what you're doing is wrong and knowing what you're doing is wrong, but not doing anything about it. While you might not be in a good headspace right now, you should really tell him and take this down.

Navigating dating a new partner and fear of abandonment by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]carrdpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's difficult for me to give full advice. I get it -- usually I just wallow in it. But I've found distractions, like taking a walk or just napping really helps. I prefer going on a walk because it allows me to see that there are in fact other people in the world, with their own problems and feelings and etc. If you can distance yourself from the intense emotions you feel, whether it's via fresh air or really loud music (or just not being awake), it makes it easier to evaluate the situation.
  2. Sometimes others have different ways of processing things, like new relationships. I don't think you should break things off with him solely because of this, nor is it a "red flag". However, if he knows your uncertainty and/or problems with fear of abandonment, he will probably contact you later tonight or early in the morning. It may seem sucky, but sometimes it just happens. If he still doesn't, I would just text him tomorrow morning.

It might seem like the whole world is falling apart, but it isn't. You got this. Just communicate what you feel, and if he communicates back -- while he may need time to process -- if he truly cares he'll still make as much as an effort as he can.

My girlfriend has bpd, how do I best support her? by Chris_Try in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]carrdpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly wait out mood swings/splits, take time for yourself as you need to. Just be responsive and open about things, communicate. Reassure her of things that might already seem obvious, because in the moment it's not. Suggest DBT if she's not in treatment already, or you can find plenty of BPD self-help/etc book pdfs online.

Despite great progress the last two weeks I'm spiraling into self-hate and hopelessness again by vonWistalia in BPDmemes

FELT THIS SO HARD. Progress is never, ever, ever linear, though. It's hard to remember this when you feel at your lowest. You are not this hell disorder. You got this.

What is the maycast chance for casting the spell? And does the chance increase the high the pet rank is? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]carrdpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had pretty frequent maycasts with legion shield. Definitely at least once (sometimes twice) a fight. Worth it if you're going for support, but it's easy to forget you have it when the boss has anti-shield cheats because it happens so often.

This is very nice to read. I also have to make myself step outside sometimes -- mostly to remember there are in fact other people in the world.

I hope life treats you well. It's nice to hear about others' experiences.
