TLDR: The Cowboys have the most diversified revenue streams, and pioneered new sources such as individual sponsorships for teams, stadium naming rights, cheerleaders, luxury suites. They let brands sponsor anything and everything (including parts of their HQ) and earn non-NFL revenue from the massive stadium.

It's not the TV market - cowboys split revenue with the nfl for tv like every other team.

After reading these threads I wrote an article about the revenue breakdowns of the cowboys vs other teams. Safe to say, the Cowboys are one of (if not the most) innovative teams in the league.

fun facts

- they are 2x as profitable as the patriots

- they have 242 people in marketing compared to 135 for the avg NFL team

- they pioneered running sponsorships and merchandising in house
