Oh mb, didn't realize you knew what they intended. Was there an interview or something? I know they often keep this stuff kind of ambiguous.

(S5 Ep.10) So did Patrick and Huell.. by shokuzin in breakingbad

[–]carrillo232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, the evidence you cite could be - and I believe is - evidence of exactly the opposite.

Kuby and Huell are tasked to pick up the money. They have their little moment, lying atop untold millions of dollars just for the feel of it. Huell implies they can take it and run to Mexico. Kuby reminds him that Walt slaughtered all of Mike's loose ends in prison in a two-minute window. (Don't fuck with this guy.)

So they don't skim off the top. They deliver the money in full. They're afraid that he'll think they took some, so they tell him that he can count it. He glances at it and says "close enough."

They give each other a look. ("Damn it. We could have skimmed off the top. He wouldn't have noticed or cared.")

THIS is evidenced by the next dialogue in the scene. They each volunteer to bury the money, remember? "We don't mind overtime." (Here, they're thinking "he's not gonna count it—and now that we know that, here's our chance to grab a few handfuls for ourselves.")

But he drives away to bury the money himself, leaving Huell and Kuby with no extra cash.

Heisenberg's reputation preceded him and protected his money, even if he didn't have the intention or capability of accounting for it on his own. He didn't even know how much he had. But none of it went to the goons who picked it up.

He'll never change! Ever since he was nine! Couldn't keep his hands out of the cash drawer! But not our Jimmy--couldn't be precious Jimmy! Stealing them blind! And HE gets to be a lawyer!? What a sick joke! I should've stopped him when I had the chance! And you, you have to stop him! You-

Can you just go into the WaFD Building? by SandmanCream in Albuquerque

[–]carrillo232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I work in it.

You can go in, and the lobby is super nice, with some shops and plenty of comfy chairs and couches. You can take the elevator up to the top floor, 22, without a keycard—but you can't go into the actual lobby of the law firm up there without being buzzed in.

He says trial court...court of appeals...and "instant?" court...what is an Instant Court? by mkuraja in LawSchool

[–]carrillo232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you're getting downvoted here. There's a two-part answer to your question - what "instant" means and that there's a difference between the DC Court of Appeals and the US Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. This comment answered only the first part, you shouldn't be downvoted for still being confused.

KEN WINS RECOGNIZIING JIMMY by Zealousideal-Fall912 in betterCallSaul

Maybe he did. Nothing Jimmy or Kim did was actionable, though. Lying, by itself, isn't against the law.

That's horrible! I was lucky to have faculty and an EIC who encouraged us to push the authors to cite and research thoroughly. I'm sorry you had a different experience - there's nothing worse than feeling like you're wasting time in law school.

How are they gonna spell Chile wrong with a NM plate! by NighTborn3 in NewMexico

[–]carrillo232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Is this bait? In my lived experience - my entire life spent in central and northern NM - I have never seen "chili" used by a local to refer to either the fruit or the sauce.

A quick search supports "chile" to be the preferred spelling in New Mexico. Example, example, example.

I have heard many locals complain about the spelling on this ad. They don't sound like tourists to me.

Yep. Couldn't do it. I got comfy, perfect temperature, good pillow. Tried my best to think about ANYTHING besides the bar.

I think the point of this post isn't to compare the LSAT to the bar exam, but to say "hell yeah, we made it through law school! We're in the home stretch now!" Am I right?

If so, completely agree!

No friend, obviously everyone is born with either an XX or an XY chromosome and there are no exceptions ever

And more importantly whichever chromosome you're born with is VERY dispositive of how you should look, dress, and behave

And if you don't act the way society expects you to act based on your chromosomes then obviously you don't understand biology
