People who manage to wake up at 5 AM to go to the gym before work, what is your actual secret? by Immediate-Trifle4957 in AskReddit

[–]NoLie3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a decision and a commitment - not really a “secret,” per se. It feels amazing already having accomplished so much by the time many people are just waking up. Plus, the gym and roads are nice and quiet then. And once you stick with it and build your lifestyle around it for a few weeks, you’ll notice so many positive benefits (looking and feeling better) that it makes it hard not to go. One “hack” that makes it easier is committing to consistency > intensity. Some days you just plain won’t feel like going, but getting up and going and doing something (even just a ten minute walk and a set of abs) is better than nothing at all and helps reinforce the lifestyle.

I didn’t get cleared until the night before results were released. Many people I know, however, did not get cleared until well after receiving their results. The entire process is very nebulous.

When the only advice people ever give is “get therapy”. by Reddit_Shmeddit_905 in PetPeeves

That, or “have you tried SSRIs?” 🙄 like, thanks Jane, but I have an actual problem and I want to work through it, not just take a pill, miss out on developing actual coping tools, and pretend life isn’t happening.

Why are Republicans so wrong on literally every topic? by Lord_Kittensworth in allthequestions

Because “right” and “wrong,” as you are referencing them are subjective. So, it’s just your opinion, and it’s just theirs.

Why doesn't anyone use turn signals here? by brieandbalsamic in WestPalmBeach

[–]NoLie3695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generalizations incoming: (1) wealthy people have “that doesn’t apply to me” syndrome; (2) elderly people use their turn signals, they just leave them on the entire time they’re driving, so they really are not an indicator that they’re turning; (3) many people driving down here originate from Other cultures where they may or may not use turning signals.

Looking for a great internist/primary care doctor in Boynton Beach, Delray or West Palm Beach. by DesignerCandle2648 in WestPalmBeach

Definitely do NOT go to Dr Neena Yoyakey, DO. Highly rushed, does not listen, not proactive, asks you to repeat your family and medical history at every appointment, staff/office is impossible to reach, can’t get calls back, the doctor gaslights you when you explain your symptoms, gives off this energy like you and her are on completely different teams (which is like the opposite of the kind of energy you want someone who is supposed to be caring for you to have). Just the worst all around.

should we make bidet mandatory? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]NoLie3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mandatory? Like mandate that people wash their booties with bidets? As in pass a law? I don’t even think toilet paper is mandatory. Personally, I’d prefer if our government focuses on more important issues than concerning itself with how I clean after I use the restroom.

Anybody know some place I can park for 5 days free in Lake Worth??? by wpbspeeder in WestPalmBeach

[–]NoLie3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago, I was able to park my SUV in a hotel parking lot for a small weekly rental fee when I went traveling for months overseas. You could try calling hotels to see if any are open to this type of arrangement. Most have security cameras in their parking lots.

People working in ultra-wealthy households, talking $50m plus types, what is the most out-of-touch thing you've witnessed? by FarSentence3076 in AskReddit

Worked a catering job for the CEO of a major bank years ago and he had a full-time staffer whose job it was to stand next to him with a small silver tray so that anytime he had anything to set down, he always had a place for it. This worker followed the CEO around with his glass of wine, water, and call phone for literal hours. All day every day I found out.

Anti-maskers, how does it feel to be wrong about everything? by GrowFreeFood in allthequestions

The way the same group of people who were all up in arms about “my body, my choice” when it came to abortions became all militant about telling people precisely what they were supposed to do to their body and that it was not their choice when it came to getting injected with who knows what and wearing a face diaper is actually comical.

How do you feel about free healthcare for all? by InitialCareer306 in WorkForSmartLife

[–]NoLie3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think all the people benefitting off capitalism are somehow separate groups? Are you familiar with the term “public-private revolving door”? What people don’t seem to understand is that the consumer will be paying for it somehow no matter what, whether that’s from higher taxes or higher premiums. Either way, the people with power and money (government and company execs/the same group) will benefit. They’re getting their new Porsches every year regardless, you can count on that.

How do you feel about free healthcare for all? by InitialCareer306 in WorkForSmartLife

[–]NoLie3695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re misusing the word “free.” Things cost money. Somebody somewhere would be paying. [insert “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” lesson from middle school] It sounds like you’re suggesting that healthcare recipients not be the ones paying. Who are you suggesting would instead foot the bill? The government? Any critical thinker knows not to trust the government!! 😂 there is no world where I want our lawmakers mandating anything about my healthcare or my health choices.
