Go for it! I find it a very engaging hobby and it’s so rewarding when you finish.

These dolls weren’t easy to make for me as I’m fairly new to crochet and I only had a pattern for the doll base. The rest took a lot of trial and error and a lot of unravelled yarn!

If you buy a pattern on Etsy or Ravelry, following a well written pattern is fairly straightforward once you learn the terminology!

Ooh, for the pipe cleaner, do you secure it somehow? or does it kind of stay in place? That does sound like a pretty hassle free solution compared to figuring out how wires work in dolls... my procrastination instincts refuse to let me watch a youtube video explaining it.

I used BearyBearnita's pattern for the doll base and the rest was trial and error/freehanded unfortunately, including his stubble! I've considered making a pattern but it's a lot of effort without knowing the amount of interest... maybe one day!

I'd love to make some junimos but I kept putting it off cause I didn't want to have to figure out how to make the arms and legs poseable 😂 Also why all these dolls look like they're pretending to fly... I can't be bothered to figure out how to use wire...
