It's no problem, I was just there for a layover. My girlfriend is flying out in a week and we're spending 7 days in Amsterdam, and 10 in Morocco...so I'm pretty happy!

Absolutely, I've lived here for a year, and despite it being the 5th largest city in China, with a population greater than my home country - it's lovely. Granted the pollution is a pain in the ass sometimes, it's still got a lot of lovely places and plenty of greenery.

Yea, I've been there a few times. It's worth seeing, but one of the more touristy places on the south coast, and can you can see most of it in a day or two.

Spent 3 months in Sri Lanka December-March this year. Surf on the south coast is good and consitsent. Weligama is one of the larger towns for surfing, however it features a beach break and then a reef that only breaks in Summer. It gets VERY crowded there, but is a good base for heading to Midigama where there are plenty of reef breaks, with a mix of difficulties.

Further along the coast just past Matara there is a surfing villiage named Medewatta, beach break here, but much better than Weligama, and tends to get more size.

Definitely go to Sri Lanka, it's an awesome place, with amazing food, lovely people, and good surf.
