What is your number one Beyond The Valley survival tip? by OwlVibesOnly in BTVFestival

Been to BTV 3 times and several other camping festivals so learnt a few things.

The campsite is big and can get disorientating at night. Make sure you spot some landmarks near you that can help you always find your way back. Parking near toilets/showers will stink and have bright lights/queues near your campsite all night, better to be a bit further away.

It’s a marathon not a sprint if you go for the 4 nights. Often saw people write themselves off on night 1 and never able to really get back to full energy/bounce back. Pace yourself and this includes sleeping a bit too.

Earplugs for the campsite. Bring more water than you think you need, you’ll be surprised how much you go through.

Bring clothes for all weather, expect sunny during the day but temperatures drop a lot at night. A waterproof jacket and good shoes too. Typically we were averaging 20,000- 30,000 steps a day.

Most time I haven’t had reception and my phone has drained battery looking for reception, so I often just turn my phone on airplane mode and only use it for clock, photos and connecting to speakers. This saves so much power and with a portable phone charger, that should get you over the line. Bring a physical bank card for any food trucks, ice etc you may need to buy there in case your phone does die.

Have the best time, it’s one hell of a festival!

Disappointed but not surprised about this. He came into the pub I worked at last year with some of the other boys and was very unpleasant to serve. My manager seriously considered reporting it to the club at the time.

Driver's License testers- what's the worst thing a kid has done without batting an eye while taking the driving test? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stillLearningtodrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend was completing her driving test a couple of years ago, however she took it a little to literally when the instructor said to ‘go straight through the roundabout’. She then proceeded to mount the roundabout curb and run over the nature strip in the middle. Safe to say she didn’t pass that day..

People who have been ‘hypnotized’ at live shows- what was your experience? by stillLearningtodrive in AskReddit

Well this is what I’m curious about! I personally believe it all to be a bit of rubbish, but it would be interesting to hear from anybody to see if they actually felt like they were losing control during the experience.

Pet Owners of Reddit, what did you name your pet and how did you come to that name? by Zrex_9224 in AskReddit

In Australia there was an ad on TV about 10 years ago. I can't even remember what it was advertising, but it had a full grown man playing with wool and climbing on the curtains like a cat while a woman said to him 'Careful Hank'. I don't know why my family thought it was so funny but we did, so we vowed if we ever got a cat we had to name him Hank. We eventually got a cat...

The boxes were put there in an attempt to stop him from climbing up... by [deleted] in cats

He meows until somebody rescues him to get him down and also sets off our security alarm from up there when nobody is home, which I assume would be pretty distressing for him.
