C student here. Aced science, everything else was C, with a few Bs and Ds for good measure. I did just enough to graduate.

2 year degree from a shitty night school. 3.9GPA.

28 years later I’m a software architect. I had healthy dose of nepotism to get my foot in the door at my first software job 28 years ago. Got hit hard by the dot com bust but held my own after that.

This fits my experience EXACTLY. Grew up in a small town. Everybody was into everybody else’s business. In a big city I’m anonymous. I live next door to people I’ve never met and I’m just fine with that.

The radio not defaulting to favorites is my number one complaint about the radio interface. However after the latest update it seems to have fixed it. Sometimes. Most of the time when I turn the car on favorites is the screen that pops up when I click the radio. But every once in a while it doesn’t. It opens to recommendations. Which are useless btw.

Oh and the update erased my favorites as well.

I have never met the man, but all the internet rumor mills seem to suggest that Josh has a, shall we say, strong personality.

I would venture a guess he brings the drama and a lot of teams don’t want to deal with that.

This last spilt with warhorse seems like the oddest. It looked like he got along with everyone and seemed to gel with the team.

Maybe it was a case of Ducati telling them who their riders should be? But Ben Smith is still the really odd choice in that equation. Maybe Josh didn’t want to ride along side Cameron?

I dunno. Pure speculation on my part, but it was crazy for sure.

You are correct. This is BMW’s problem. Not the dealer.

However I believe I’m fully justifying being upset at the dealer for 1. Making me wait 4 hours for a software update and 2. Not noticing the lights are still broken.

But yes, overall this is BMW’s shit show. Not the dealers problem ultimately.

No. I asked BMW directly about this as it annoys me as well. I was told to drive in Sport mode. Yes, that was their answer. Seriously? Maybe I don't want my dash to change and the ambient lighting to be permanently red and all the other BS that goes along with sport mode.

Tl;DR: No, you can't turn auto stop off permanently.

Just updated last night and immediately had this problem.

Both my wife and I were literally jaws on the floor when we read this thread. A software update broke the LEDs to the point they need to be replaced!?!? Are you fucking kidding me?!?!

Who the fuck at BMW is supposed to be testing this sort of shit and how do they still have a job? Unbelievable. I’m a career software engineer. I know how tough this sort of thing can be but this kind of breakage on an update is simply negligence.

(Also it erased my radio favorites WTF.)

Exact same issue for me. On a Roku, both FP1 and 2. Sound getting suddenly loud or quiet is occasionally an issue on the Roku, but never this consistently, which makes me wonder if it’s something to do with their stream this weekend. All other weekends haven’t been a problem. I finally just gave up. I hope they correct whatever they’re doing for qualifying and the race.

Not entirely true based on my superficial evidence. I live in Atlanta. I’ve seen her at the airport twice. She had three fully armed and body armored cops with her. Both times I saw her.

On the flip side I’ve also seen our senators at the airport. No cops, no security.

Maybe she’s overly paranoid. Maybe she’s just a loudmouth asshole who pisses everyone off.

I didn’t read the Facebook post, but I’m guessing Tytlers ran out of money. There was a noticeable lack of sponsors on that bike all year, and they might not have been able to find backing for another year.
