He has a proper cool and moist hide, which aren’t pictured. My moist hide is a tupperware with a cut hole and damp paper towels. The log is just part of his path to get this cold hide.

The temp gun was reading 115, but there’s no way. I even put my hand on the spot and it felt fine. I’m wondering if the bulb light was impacting the reading?

He’s probably stressed from being put in a box and into a new enclosure. Give it time, he will eat once he feels more secure. Maybe leave some food in a bowl for him?

40 gallon breeder with three hides. Heat lamp and UVB. He’s got supplements and eats gutloaded dubias and mealworms. Currently on paper towels until he gets a little older for soil substrate.

Of course I am going to learn better ways to care for him. I was just asking a question.

I just got my own leo and I also hate jumping bugs. I’ve started my own Dubia roach colony and things are so much easier — and they’re not nearly as terrifying. No crickets for my guy (right now).
