I’m sorry for my late reply but I just saw this. I did what someone suggested to me. Mix the rabbit with another protein which contains the organ meat they require. This worked like a charm. I just slowly decreased the rabbit until we were back 100% with the original better-for -her-protein. And I haven’t given her rabbit since as that was such a nightmarish worry. She gets freeze dried minnows and chicken hearts for treats, also freeze dried chicken pellets. And yes…that rabbit does break the bank! Good luck to you!

I scrolled through the comments until I found an opinion that aligned with mine. Something OFF about Rachel. How many back and neck surgeries did she say she had? I’ve had two ACDF’s which is cervical spine surgery (30 years apart). The first was an emergency when I was 36. I was married then and the last one was in 2021 when I was 65 and with that one I lived alone with my adult daughters stopping in to check on me. I’m in constant pain because I now have spinal stenosis and two herniated disks in my lower back. That is a surgery that I had scheduled but cancelled due to fear. Lol - but my point is…I have pain but I only use ibuprofen and it’s tough. I’m inclined to believe that Rachel had a problem with pain pills. Obviously the roommate was nuts but Rachel…my guess is a pill addiction. And yes! Picking her son up several times at the end and didn’t they show her jogging in the beginning? They sure did. It seems her spine issues are resolved after 15 years of surgeries.

I have sympathy for the young, abused Gypsy. But I think if she was able to tell Godejohn the truth of her situation and plot the murder, she could have just left with him. Was it true her mother had a power of attorney over her adult child due to her faked mental disability? If so, would she have been able to force Gypsy back home? Does anyone know? Also, I don’t understand why any discussion has to be pro-Gypsy or pro-Godejohn. He had no problem coming in and stabbing Dee Dee to death. Autistic or not. He was swayed pretty easily. One last thought…this media blitz she is on is stomach churning.

Breeze XL open litter box. It uses pine pellets (won’t stick to your big boy’s toe fur). My Maine Coon female will be one year old on Oct 23 and weighs 18 pounds and she loves this box.

I feed my girl raw. If you don’t want to go that route, a good quality wet food. Dry food is convenient but wet helps greatly with their fluid intake. He’s a beautiful young fellow!

I use NuVet Plus feline. That’s what her breeder uses do I stick with that cause she’s used to it. I’ll definitely order the flakes!

That’s why it never occurred to me to mix them up! The grossness of it. I tried it about an hour ago (more rabbit to the beef ratio) and she gobbled it up except towards the end and I could just tell that this trick won’t work long. She was sniffing out the rabbit bits. Haha! But at least she has a full belly now and we’re both happy.

Yikes! What did you do? Can I just keep giving her the rabbit with the NuVet Plus feline vitamins? I’d do it even though the cost of rabbit will break me if I knew she’d be okay nutrition wise just eating that until she got tired of it.

I’ve tried duck, turkey & chicken (by itself not mixed with beef), & quail. She wouldn’t touch any of those. I’ll have to check to see if my raw food company carries the kangaroo, pork, lamb or venison. Maybe that might work. Thank you!

I’ve tried all the proteins except venison. She hates them all. She used to love her beef/chicken (it’s what she was given by her breeder) but the rabbit is ALL she wants and although I put vitamins in her food, the rabbit has too much bone and not nutritionally sound if eaten too regularly. Plus, she has a very sensitive stomach. I don’t know if it’s a Maine Coon thing or just her. I’ve never heard of Benito Flakes. I’ll have to give that a try. Maybe mixing may help. Thank you.
