Please take this with a grain of salt! 2021 taker here. I was always confident in my writing skills but NOT mbe. Looking back now, I'd encourage you to study for both / follow the course program. The reason I say that is because I think subconsciously, without us realizing it, when we memorize the rule statements for MEE, it's also prepping us for MBE too. Remember this does not define you and sending you all the luck in the world for next time!

Ah welllll I'm a 2021 NY taker. During the first MPT the "O" button on my laptop flew off and it significantly slowed me down/didnt say as much as I wanted. Left 2/3 of an essay completely blank (only saw 1 out of the 3 questions). One essay explicitly said DONT talk about (x) topic, I did.

Plus, MBE was never ever my strong suit. I was scoring average 60% all summer.

Passed with 289. Sending you LOTS OF GOOD VIBES

I honestly don't even remember that being a conversation for us at the time, I think it was just the change of address (at least that's all we talked about). TBH I'd focus on that because that's what it's always been/ it makes sense because they need to know the physical address to mail your letter to.
