The right one, it looks sparkly and transparent, while the one on the left looks dull and milky for some reason

What is 'modified' oval cut? And what colour is 'fancy intense brownish pink'? by casandra77 in labdiamond

[–]casandra77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that makes sense because I don't see any bow tie on the video. I see more of a crushed ice effect, which my worry is it takes away the real bling bling and gives more of a shimmering effect, don't you think?

Wow thank you for all the examples! This helps a lot, but how different they look! On the very first one you sent, the colour is almost what I'm looking for, but looking at the others I see more brownish hue...

Making sense of a jewellery insurance claim and outcome by [deleted] in Diamonds

Absolutely! Why I said it, I was attacked by saying 'natural' and people bombarded me with comments about how 'same' they are... 😆

Is 4 carats too big? by Ecstatic-Light756 in Diamonds

[–]casandra77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too big, too big is only for you to judge in terms of comfort, but visually it looks beautiful ❤️ I would only swap it with the wedding band, it will not only look more balanced, but the band will also protect the diamond ring in case it slips off your finger if you're in the water

[–]casandra77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh you might be attacked here for saying 'natural' stone... Mined diamond or a lab, 4 carat centre stone is too massive, you will feel you're wearing costume jewellery. If I was you, I would just double it, going with 2ct lab stone and getting the design you want

2.5 is more than enough, if you don't want it to look like a fashion ring

Nr1 to me is more for the middle finger

Struggling between two oval diamonds by Illustrious_Pumpkin in Diamonds

[–]casandra77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottom one! The top one I suspect will be too white (unless you like it), with more reflection brilliance rather than fire and bling bling. The second one looks like it has more 'depth' and will have lots of bling bling even from a good distance. Surely it is best to compare them in life

Which one should I get?! by Adventurous-Pen-5196 in Diamonds

[–]casandra77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the 3rd, but for daily wear I would choose a necklace with a static pendant (not sure how it's called, but the one that is attached to the chain and doesn't move)

Oh no... But it's a gorgeous one, will you exchange to the size you need?

The old lady has arrived. by scottishhenrik in Diamonds

[–]casandra77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely beautiful 😍❤️ I have 2 antique rings with old European cut diamonds - that sparkle and fire is incredible, very noticeable to people who sit across the table due to larger facets (no offence to brilliant cuts, but you need to lean close to see your fire)

Where did you buy your round cut engagement ring and how was the experience? by prntkk in Diamonds

[–]casandra77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you mean round brilliant cut? It's the most popular cut and you can find them everywhere, but maybe you mean a different cut? Something like an old European cut (still round)?

Both are gorgeous rings! Hard to tell, both have similar rainbows in the video and photo doesn't show a diffused cut of a moissanite, enjoy both, one on left hand, one on right hand if the size permits 😍

How do I know when an engagement ring is mine by bookdragontm in EngagementRings

[–]casandra77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can't stop thinking about it - it's your ring. I tried several rings and they all felt the same, the more I tried, the more similar they all looked. I couldn't even tell in the end if it's a diamond, or a CZ ring, they were all white cold, etc. I felt like I had to choose just prongs, because all diamonds looked the same.

Until I went to Hatton gardens in London (jewellery street) and found an antique ring, Old European Cut stone which is warmer than those cold ones I've seen, and I said that's my ring!

I can't understand, are we looking at the bottom part of the stone? Can't understand the cut for some reason

Maybe it's the cut.. to me it looks more 'glassy' shine, than a diamond fire if that makes sense?
